I recently saw a topic about Disney weasels, but what about weasels that are not from Disney? Well, here, we can discuss about the weasels that appear in different franchise, be it Sega, Rare, WB, or any others. Just no flames, okay?

I remember two.
Nack (or sometimes Fang) from Sonic
and Buck from Ice Age III
Buck is new, but Nack hasn't been in any sonic games for a while. In fact, I remember only one game I played which he was in and that was Sonic Fighters.

Nack (or Fang as he's called in the Japanese games) appeared mostly in the Game Gear games starting with Sonic Triple Trouble. Though it's mostly that, Sonic Drift 2, and he was mentioned in an online comic of Sonic & the Secret Rings as well as appearing in Sonic Fighters. He mostly appeared in the comics and was said to probably have appeared in the canceled Sonic Extreme, where I heard he was to be killed off (which shocked and angered me when I heard it). However, he's being considered as one of the most underrated Sonic characters to date (though I can see he still has his own fanbases and such). For some reason, it seems like the Sonic Channel website has his profile still up, and have all, but forgotten about him. I'm hoping he appears in a new game someday, though, as he happens to be one of my favorite of Non-Disney weasels (Ze Professor ranks second at my list of fav non-Disney weasels).

julayla: Oh, I see. If I ever read the comics (never found any) or played any of his games, he would most likely be my fav too. He looks so kewl. >_<
Harley: I know, right? Buck is awesome. ^_^

I'm a little jealous- I wanted to start a thread like this! Most of the non-Disney weasels I know about are on this page: xopbku.aidf.org/index.php?in=content&id=8Personally, I'm only concerned about the one in The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle (who my brother has nicknamed "Bucky"), those three Warner Bros. shorts, and of course Crank the Weasel. They're old-school, you see. Here are a few others: a5.vox.com/6a00ccff97efeb6ea500d4144af3e56a47-500piThis guy's the mascot for a punk band. www.dailymotion.com/video/x3ud6n_ginger-nutts-christmas-circus_shortfilmsThis guy has been a staple of my childhood cartoon VHS tapes for as long as I can remember. He's one of the characters in "Ginger Nutt's Christmas Circus", made by a British animation studio as part of their Animaland series in the '40s. www.youtube.com/watch?v=halRMGCnc3AHere's one who at least looks like a weasel, from the Animaniacs episode "The Big Candy Store". Unfortunately, the only online copy I could find was a Hungarian language version... I'm really amazed by how rare non-Disney old-school toon weasels are... sure, there are a handful of ones that are more modern, but I'm not really interested in them. Buck is an exception, of course.

Omg, the first link has one to a "woozle" in Winnie the Pooh. XD That just made me laugh.

Yeah, I guess since a Woozle isn't quite a weasel, but a semi-mythical stuffed animal version of a weasel orally mangled by Tigger's honey-filled mouth... It's got The Prince and the Pauper in there, too. His organization system is a little... off.
Does anyone else know about the one in the Rocky and Bullwinkle movie? I saw that movie in theaters when it came out (I'm a fan of the show), but I haven't seen it since, so I had forgotten about the poor fellah. It all came back to me when I saw those screenshots. It's so obviously a reference to WFRR, it's hilarious. I mean, even one of the characters notes the similarity. Somehow that makes me like him... He also sort of reminds me of this toon cat wearing a trenchcoat in Last Action Hero, which is a Schwarzenegger film. He looks to be a reference to WFRR as well, especially since he's animated in a very similar way, complete with Wheezy-esque cigarette smoke. Since both movies involve absurd fictional characters entering the "real world" and causing havoc, the two fit into the same slot in my brain, pretty much.
In fact, I wonder if The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle was inspired by Last Action Hero...

Yes, I remember him. He keeps yelling at them about not wanting to be like his buddy, though the name of his buddy escapes me at the moment.
The conversation around his appearance went something like:
Fearless Leader: There has never been a way to actually destroy a cartoon character until now. Pottsylvanian scientist: What about that movie Roger Rabbit? Fearless Leader: Shut up. This is totally different. [pauses] Fearless Leader: There has never been a way to actually destroy a cartoon character until now.

My gosh! I nearly forgot about the weasel in Animalympics! She's my 3rd fav weasel there!
EDIT: Well, there are also the weasels within the game, Conker's Bad Fur Day, if I remember correctly. I remember two sites having the pics that have some of them in there, though one of them's no longer updating. The other is called the Conker Fanbase, and I'm not sure if it's still alive or not.

I sure hope I don't have to give up calling him "Bucky". The conversation around his appearance went something like: Fearless Leader: There has never been a way to actually destroy a cartoon character until now. Pottsylvanian scientist: What about that movie Roger Rabbit? Fearless Leader: Shut up. This is totally different. [pauses] Fearless Leader: There has never been a way to actually destroy a cartoon character until now. Yeah, I remember that from the trailer. I came across it while doing a Google search on the movie. I kind of wonder if Fearless Leader's toon-destroying method makes enough sense to consider using in WFRR-related fiction... but there's a problem because the R&B movie treats the characters as if they were previously fictional. It's pretty much the same in Space Jam and the Fat Albert movie- they all involve fictional toons suddenly revealing themselves to be real through the TV. Also, as you can tell from the screenshots, "Bucky" was only digitized and sent into the internet, not destroyed.

How about Weasel, Measley, Cleo, and Fido from "Animals of Farthing Wood", and all the "Redwall" weasels?

No no...his -friend- was who he named. "Freddy Ferret" I -think-. I'd have to watch the movie again to be sure. [edit] Freddy, strangely, is also the name of the weasel/ferret from the Barnyard movie and TV show. There's also Marlene the otter from "The Penguins of Madagascar". Otters are cousins to the weasels.

I'm entirely aware that he was referring to his friend's name. I was wondering if he mentioned his own name as well.
