Hi! Although there are only three or so people here, I still want to post here and hopefully get feedback from them and discussing things!
Now, some of my stuff for the weasels may not make any sense without my headcanons about the world of WFRR, so I'll try my best to explain!
For now, I'm focusing on the weasels' genre's and the roles they played when they were still actors. At least how I see them.
In general, I headcannon that all 'toons are made for some genre or another, Roger and Goofy were made for the slapstick genre, Jessica and Betty were made for the... 'risque' genre, etc. The weasels being no exception, and in their cartoons, were always the bad guy, even in minor roles, before they got dumped in Downtown Toontown, where the unwanted 'toons go.
Smarty was the conman, and played in the more mature genre, no specific type, but his cartoons were for more older audiences. He was the guy who cheated you out of your money and was gone before you could catch him, the one who could smooth talk you into NOT attacking him- and then attacking you. This is why he's the leader, hes the talker of the group, the one who discloses the deals.
Greasy is from the more 'risque' cartoons. There are plenty of Betty Boop cartoons that will show the perfect example of the character that Greasy portrayed in his cartoons. The greasy guy, the pursuer. It's why he's so perverted and, well the way he is.
Stupid is from the genre that's more Roger's style, he was the idiot sidekick to the bully of the cartoon, always doing what he's told. That's why he's so loyal to the Patrol, and (seemingly) the most innocent of them all, he does what hes told, and whatever the boss says goes.
Psycho... ohoho, Psycho! He was a fun one (mostly cause hes my favorite). He is from the horror genre, he played either the 'Igor' role, or the murderous lunatic role. It's why hes so eager to maim and takes delight in other's suffering, but also follows Smarty and only attacks when giving the ok ("time to kill the rabbit~"). It's also how he became insane; he always had a few screws loose, but it got worse as his acting career went on.
*trigger warning for WW II, please proceed with caution!!!*
Wheezy... I was trying to figure out what to do with him, but after paying attention to the way he moves, his appearance, the way he talks (when he does), and the vibe he puts off, I thought that he could have been made for war propaganda cartoons. Even though he laughs, he seems far too serious compared to the others, so possibly his cartoons were for a more serious topic. I hope that makes sense?
I've got more headcannons related to how 'toons work and their world! Heck, I even got ideas for how sub-speicies 'toons and how payment works for 'toons who work more human jobs! And of course general headcannons for the weasels in general, but let me know what you think of this one! Would anyone like to hear more? Or even have a discussion on our theories? I'd love to hear what you think!
