Okay so does anyone have any tips before going into an audition. Mostly on how to calm down because i get extremely nervous!

well just be calm and relax and give it a 100%. I was like that but now i'm used too it, just find somethign that will make you calm and at the same time too try your best

Well definetly pick a song that shows your vocal range. That is what directors look for. Show enthusiasm. Research the musical you're going for and study the characters. To handle nerves? Well, that's a bit difficult to find a solution for since people have different ways of handling it. For me, before I go on stage I get into a zen like mode. Release myself...and let the character in. Become the character. Think like them. Breathe like them. Use my quivering nerves as energy for my performance.

Yeah, I know I'm late.  Something happened that I couldn't come to proboard yesterday. Anyway, late advice, it is true what the Unknown says. Director do love an actress, actor, or etc when they are showing ethusiasm and ready to go. Don't let nervousness take you over. Just go with the flow. |
