Hey gang. Geez, the board seems kinda dead huh? Well anywho, here's the begining of the sequal I keep on mentioning about. It's a few years after the Who Framed Roger Rabbit incident. Here's the prologue, enjoy.
Prologue
Toontown. A place filled with happiness, joy, and a lot of laughs. But if you go beyond the colorful cheery place, you’ll find your self in a dark valley. Everything seems gloomy, depressing and dead. In the center of the valley lies a large black fortress.
The fortress wall is about ten feet thick and about fifty yards tall. The stone is pure black, there is no trace of any other color, just pure dark black. Gargoyles peer over the thick wall as though they are making sure nothing comes in, or nothing comes out. Inside the walls there are no living plants, every thing is dead.
That is, except for a small secret place hidden in a cave. A place where a small stream ran down to where a pool laid. A place where grass started growing. A place where only Thunderheart knew where it laid.
Thunderheart’s real name is Benjamin or Ben for short. But many years ago he and his sister Silentbrook (April) wandered to far from their homes, and were taken in by the queen of the black fortress. Besides that Thunderheart couldn’t remember anything from his past.
Thunderheart laid near the pool and stared up at the big hole at the top of the cave which showed the large full moon. The moon was the only light that you could see from the outside world. He would often spend most of his nights staring up at the moon and would usually forget him self and the world around him.
He blinked a few times, there was something he had to do when the moon reached the center of the sky. He searched his mind a little longer before he heard two long howls. He shot up, it was the queens black wolf hounds. He realized what he had to do, he had to go to a meeting where the very few servants of the queen get together. It was held every month, or when the queen felt like it.
He got up to leave but then stopped. He turned and looked at his reflection that shone in the moon light. Thunderheart scowled at it, lifted his hood over his head, and hurried out towards the fortress.
***
Thunderheart silently panted as he yanked the door open to the queens secret meeting room. All eyes turned on him as he walked into the room. Among the few eyes he saw his sister Silentbrook.
Silentbrook and Thunderheart were twins, and almost looked exactly like their parents when they were younger, so they were told by two elders called, Needletooth and Soremuzzle. She had darkish brown straight hair, and ice blue eyes. She smiled a bit nervously at him and glanced at the queen, who gave him an annoyed look.
The queen called her self, “Iamtheboxlady”, but most people called her “Boxlady” for short. She ruled over the dark land and all those who lived in it. She sat on her black throne, beside her laid two large black wolves that gave Thunderheart a small growl.
“You’re late.” she growled. A shiver ran down Thunderheart’s spine.
“Sorry,” he muttered lowering his hood. “It’s just that...”
“Let me guess,” she interrupted. “You forgot.” Thunderheart nodded slowly. Boxlady sighed and dismissed him to go stand by his sister. He went over to her with out any questions. As Boxlady continued on what she was saying, Thunderheart felt a paw on his shoulder. He looked back and saw that the paw belonged to Silverhawk.
Silverhawk, or Becky, was brought here when she was in her late teen years. They looked at each other for a moment. He could only focus on her beautiful sky blue eyes. She gave him a smile which made his stomach jump. He looked back at Boxlady.
He and Silverhawk loved each other deeply, they even had a son which they named Wesley. But due to the unwritten law, which was that Boxlady’s servants were not aloud to love, they were forced to abandoned the young one far away from the fortress. That was five years ago, and since then Thunderheart tried to keep away from her. But it was hard trying to keep away from someone he loved.
“I’d be here on time next time if I were you.” Thunderheart’s best friends Eagleeyes whispered to him. Thunderheart nodded. Eagleeyes, who’s real name was George, has always stuck up for Thunderheart ever since he was brought here. Even though they were now adults, that wouldn’t stop them from acting childish at times.
“...So, now that all my faithful servants are here,” she said giving Thunderheart a glare. Thunderheart lowered his head. “I will get down to business. Three weeks ago, three slaves called Brokeneyes, Thornfilth, and Wretchedfur escaped from the fortress...”
“Yeah, all on Thunderheart’s watch.” An obnoxious ferret called Lionclaw said. Thunderheart glared at him. Thunderheart and Lionclaw were enemies ever since Thunderheart and Silentbrook came to the fortress. Lionclaw’s younger sister, Fernbelly, placed a paw on her brother’s shoulder.
“Shut yer trap, Lionclaw.” Thunderheart growled. “No body likes you besides your pathetic excuse for a sister.” Eagleeyes looked at Thunderheart, with shock and a bit of anger in his eyes. Fernbelly lowered her head in embarrassment.
Lionclaw took a step forward and spat, “Don’t you dare talk about my sister like that, Scumface!” Thunderheart let out a growl, ran up to Lionclaw, and knocked him down. He pinned Lionclaw by the shoulder and started throwing punches at him.
“Take it back!” he shouted. Lionclaw flipped him self over so now he had Thunderheart pinned down. By now, Boxlady’s wolves were starting to whine and bark with excitement.
“I’ll never take it back Scumface!” he spat at him. Thunderheart bit Lionclaw on the arm and then punched him. Lionclaw was about to give Thunderheart a punch on the face when a jet of dark blue light hit him on the side. Lionclaw was blasted off of Thunderheart and fell hard on the ground. He laid motionless as Fernbelly rushed up to him. Thunderheart looked up at Boxlady. She was standing and had her hand stretched out.
“That’s enough!” she barked. She glared at Fernbelly and Silentbrook. “Fernbelly! Silentbrook! Learn how to control your idiotic brothers!” The both of them dipped their heads at her. Boxlady sat on her throne once more, as Thunderheart and Lionclaw got up. Her two wolves stopped whining and barking at once.
“As I was saying before,” she continued more calmly. “Three slaves have escaped. It is up to you four to go off to the nearest town, find them, and bring them back.”
“Exactly where is the nearest town?” Silverhawk asked.
“It’s a place called Toontown.” Boxlady replied. Thunderheart’s ears perked up, he had heard that name before. “It’s not like the fortress, everything there is bright and colorful. But while your traveling your eyes will adjust slowly to the color and brightness of the place. Now for the more serious mater. Last night, the great dark rulers from the past, came and warned me of a prophecy.”
“Prophecy?” Eagleeyes asked. Boxlady nodded.
“Aye, it is confusing, but it is a warning. It went like this:
As darkness rules the land, the seer waits and starts to plan.
To banish darkness and free the slaves, he calls and army to bring them back saved.
Upon his army the water dog’s blood, unleashes traitors from the flood.
Love takes over a worthy heart, and soon is being torn apart.
The bird will release the diamond’s sword, and darkness will be over thrown.”
Thunderheart thought about the prophecy as he stared out of the window and stared at the moon. ‘ “As darkness rules the land.” Well that’s obviously Boxlady’s fortress. “The seer waits and starts to plan.” Hmm, well I guess that means someone who can see the future. There isn’t anyone here that could see the future that I know of. Maybe it’s someone in Toontown. Toontown. Why is that name so familiar? I’ve never been any where else other than this fortress my whole life...or have I? Moon’s quite beautiful, just like Silverhawk. I wonder what happened to Wesley, hope he’s alright. Wonder what I’d do if I ever found him...’
Thunderheart’s thoughts were interrupted by a sudden pain in his stomach. He clutched his stomach and fell on his knees. Boxlady stood over him. She grasped his muzzle with her cold, long, black finger nailed hand and forced Thunderheart to look at her.
“Pay attention!” she hissed at him. Thunderheart tried his hardest not to let a whine escape from his throat. He gulped and then nodded. Boxlady released his muzzle and when back over to her throne. Thunderheart stood up once more and rubbed his sore muzzle.
“The six of you leave tomorrow,” she said. “Take a few dozen Zithllars with you and...”
“Zithllars?!!” Lionclaw asked in shock. “Those stupid things?! They don’t even know what’s the difference between a rock and a tree!” Boxlady looked at Lionclaw.
“I understand how you feel Lionclaw,” Boxlady said cooly. “Yes they are a bit on the slow side, but I created them fierce as well. So since my creatures came out stupid, does that mean that I am stupid?” Lionclaw hesitated for a moment.
“Of...of course not your majesty.” he stammered. “I didn’t...I don’t...your not stupid.”
“Besides,” Eagleeyes said. “I’ve met stupider people, like my brother. Stupidest person I ever met!” Boxlady smirked at Lionclaw.
“You see?” she said to him. “I created these creatures the way I wanted. So don’t question my creatures ever again, understood?” Lionclaw nodded. “Good.” She turned her attention to Silentbrook. “Silentbrook, take your apprentice Deadtail with you. Who knows, maybe she’ll impress me and then she could join you six.”
Silentbrook’s ears perked up and she nodded. Lionclaw snorted. Boxlady dipped her head slightly.
“Good, now get some rest. You leave at dawn.” They nodded. Thunderheart turned to leave. “Thunderheart, will you stay here for a moment?” Thunderheart turned back at Boxlady.
Lionclaw walked up to Thunderheart and whispered, “Your gonna get it now, Scumface!” He walked out of the room quickly, with Fernbelly following him. Eagleeyes made a fist and pounded it into his paw. Thunderheart chuckled at his friends will to fight. Eagleeyes shrugged and went out of the room.
Silverhawk and Silentbrook walked past him, but Silverhawk stopped in front of him. “Don’t worry,” she whispered softly. “You’ll be alright.” Thunderheart nodded and watched her leave. He wished he could go with them to the servants room, but Boxlady held him back. As the door shut behind Silverhawk, Thunderheart turned and looked at Boxlady.
“Yes?” he asked. Boxlady motioned him closer to her. He walked up to her throne. Boxlady’s wolves eyed him with a hint of death in their eyes.
“I have a special job for you Thunderheart.” she said. Thunderheart tilted his head curiously. “It has to do with the prophecy. I want you to kill the bird and, or, the diamond.” Thunderheart looked at her.
“Ok, why?” he asked.
“In the prophecy it says that the bird will release the diamond’s sword. If there’s no bird, then the diamond’s sword won’t be released. And...”
“If I kill the diamond then it’s sword won’t be released by the bird, right?” Thunderheart asked. Boxlady smirked.
“Precisely.” she said. Thunderheart pulled his sword out and licked the blade. Then he held it over his head as they always do when they make a deep promise to her.
“I swear on all the great and mighty rulers from the past, I will do as my queen as asked me to do. Even if it costs me my own life.” He lowered the sword and knelt down. “You have my word, me lady.” Boxlady smiled wickedly. She pulled her own sword out from her cape and placed the flat part of it on his shoulder.
“You are truly loyal Thunderheart, I can always count on you. I accept your promise.” She hid the sword back into her cape. “You may go now, Thunderheart.” Thunderheart nodded, got up and left her alone. She sat there and smirked.
“I hope you will be able to keep my trust, by killing your own brother!” she spat. Then she threw her head back and began to laugh wickedly.
Several miles away, Toontown sleeps peacefully. Then a loud yell rings out from an old, abandoned apartment in Jack and Jill road. A tall, gray furred weasel, with a strong smell of smoke, wakes up in a cold sweat still yelling at the horrible nightmare he had just had.
