Last and final chapter.
Chapter 22. Answers and good-byes.
After a happy reunion, they gathered around Penumbra to listen to the answers.
"When all of you were born," Penumbra told the weasels, "I visited you all and granted you a special power that you will use in the future when your lives are in danger. You didn't used this power because your lives weren't in extreme danger. But when Darksin tried to capture you all, I let your powers be released and you eliminated Darksin."
Psycho grinned. "Heehee! That's cool! You mean now we can have this power?"
Penumbra shook her head. "No. Your power is gone because there is no reason for you to use it anymore."
Greasy smiled. "Well that's good. I don't want to spend the rest of my life as a miracle worker."
Banzai grumbled, "Well I still think superpowers would be cool."
Penumbra turned to Randall. "It will be almost time for you to go, Randall Boggs."
Randall stared at her. "What?! GO?"
Penumbra nodded. "You had done your job by protecting them, but now Darksin is gone and the Trogs are gone also."
Randall looked at the weasels and hyenas. They had became his close friends and it would be too upsetting to leave them now. He turned to Penumbra. "Can't I stay for at least one more day?" Penumbra was silent for a moment then nodded. "One more day."
For Randall's last day, the hyenas and weasels showed him around Toontown, and trying to avoid the eyes of Toons. It was a really happy day for the nine friends, until night came. Randall looked into the portal which will send him home. Shenzi went up to him.
"Well, I guess this is good-bye."
Randall nodded. "I guess it is. Well...so long Shenzi."
"So long snake boy. I mean...Randall."
Smart Guy then stepped up. "Hey Randall, I just want to say thanks for protecting us and all until we could fight for ourselves. Also thanks for comforting me when I was remembering my parent's death."
"That's what friends are for, Smart Guy." Randall said.
"Duh...now you consider us as friends?" Stupid said.
Randall smiled. "Well, I didn't at first, but I guess something came up."
He then turned to the portal. With one last good-bye, he went in.
The weasels and hyenas looked at each other turned and headed home, knowing they will never forget Randall.
Randall meanwhile was going through the blue tunnel, heading for home. But he knew that he will never forget his adventures with the weasels.
