Let me tell you guys, it was amazing! It's one of the best animated movies I've ever seen. You guys have got to see it, in Disney Digital 3D. Dug the dog is simply the sweetest dog in animation.

Up is one of my favorite Pixar films now, if only for the heartbreaking montage with Carl and Ellie near the beginning of the movie.

I saw it last weekend. I must say, I think Pixar has truly made their masterpiece. The storytelling is masterful, the jokes are great, the acting is great, the cinematography is incredible, and of course the animation and graphics are dazzling. I laughed, I cried, I was inspired... this movie had everything.
The trailer for Miracle on 34th Street uses the word "Groovey!" as part of the many adjectives to describe it. Because of that, I use "groovey", with an "e", to describe any wonderful movie that has everything. Up is groovey!
Now, how is Pixar going to top it? All they've got next is Toy Story 3 and Cars 2... and I don't expect those to be exactly mind-blowing.

I saw it not too long ago as well. True, the ending was sad in the beginning. I wish I went with you guys though, my friends said it was stupid. *sigh* every movie I pick, they dislike. Oh well.

Sounds like they're just out to contradict you... I can't imagine anyone truly disliking this movie, unless they were just cranky all the time no matter what, quite frankly. If they dislike every movie you pick, they must not enjoy themselves very much.

Oh no! It's not that they DISLIKE, they just like older stuff while I still love cartoons. That's all. That, and my cousin's BF (the one who really didn't like it) is VERY picky when it comes to movies. ;D

Ahh, cartoons aren't just for kids. There are plenty of adult-oriented cartoons, anyway- and not necessarily R-rated. Looney Tunes originally weren't specifically made for children, after all. I take a cue from Walt Disney- I try my best to stay young at heart. ...That is what you mean by "older stuff", right?
I'm pretty picky about movies, too, and Up has everything I could ever ask for.

When I say "older stuff" with them two, I could mean the real version of "Transformers". Lol. And I remember about how Looney Tunes was originally adult-oriented. One was called "Red Hot Riding Hood" I believe. I also think is had Lena Hyena in it as well. Though, I'm not sure.

I see. Picky, I'll bet. Red Hot Riding Hood is actually by Tex Avery, when he was working for MGM in the '40s. The woman you're thinking of was just Grandma. Lena Hyena, or Lena the Hyena as she was originally known, came from a story from the comic strip Li'l Abner: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basil_WolvertonObviously, she was a lot more horrific then. You may recognize the artist from Mad magazine. Anyway, to get back on topic... I was impressed by the way the movie depicted the dogs. You could tell that they knew all about canine body language and the way they think- even though technically they wouldn't be able to form complete sentences.

I agree with you, Fatal! I loved how they made the dogs too. Also loved how my grandpa (Doug) was a character that was a dog. Lol. Btw-thanks for clearing that up, Fatal.

What do you mean, your grandpa was a character that was a dog? I don't understand.

I'm pretty sure she just meant that her grandpa Doug shared a name with Dug the dog.

Yeah, my grandpa has the same name. I just always find it funny they have their names in films, but my name (a very common femal name) isn't in any, but one. And my mom named me after that character. Lol. Sorry about the puzzlement of the doug thing, Fatal.
