I just found out about two hours ago that today is Law Enforcement Officer Memorial Day. I quickly whipped up a stamp on Deviant Art to honor our own beloved LAPD officers, but I wish I'd known sooner so I could do a real memorial piece...what say you all to setting a date on which to celebrate our very own Toon Patrol Memorial Day?

Any chance of guessing what the date of their "death" is? I reeeaaalllllly doubt it...
I admit I don't often think of the police, but those who do their jobs right are very noble and honorable.

I don't mean to find the actual date they died...you're right, that would be impossible. But if we could all agree on a date...we could have something there. I can contribute a DA stamp to advertise ahead of time, once we set a date.
I nominate sometime in mid-June. That way, it's mot too far away but plenty of time to prepare. What say you?

Well, I dunno... the date doesn't really matter to me. So long as it exists and is celebrated, you know? So I'm okay with mid-June. Maybe my brother and I could whip up something...
And if I may toot my own horn, I think my "Weaselism" poem would be rather appropriate.

Er...I used the wrong word, there...if you WANT to set it to music, by all means, that'd be great, but what I meant was more like...argh, I can't think of the word...*sigh* Not anthem as in music, but more like our...motto? Pledge? Argh, I can't think of the word! I'm sorry...
Do you catch me drift, though?

What, like the "Pledge of Allegiance" or the Boy Scouts pledge? I could whip something up that's more in that style, if you want me to.
