Which would you want in the group fiction we unofficially labeled, "The Ultimate Fic"? Seriously. We need your opinions, here at the TP forum, otherwise me and the other three members who visit my Villains' forum daily would take their side of the discussion and pull on it like taffy. In other words, it just wouldn't work with three members and a stubborn Weasel Freak.
My vote would go to the censored version, because it is both appropriate for younger veiwers and it isn't a nickname, like Wise Guy and Smart Alec.

Am I allowed to vote even though I'm one of the collaborators?

I voted the second one, cause I think in your fics it sounds the best. I use usually Smart Guy, cause it was the first one of his names I heared.

Gosh, i guess it's hafta be Smart Ass, because that's his official name...I usually call him Smart GUY tho, because I don't like to swear...but I acknowledge that Smart Ass is his REAL name.

I agree with psychoangel. Me, I'm much, much more used to Smartass as a single word like in the image at the top of this forum, as opposed to two words- Smart Ass- like in the credits. After all, I'm pretty sure it's usually written as one word in most contexts. And all the others have single word names, like the Seven Dwarves that their original number was based on. And if most kids are like I was, they wouldn't really notice. I mean, when Bongo used the A-word in WFRR, I never noticed until a few years ago. That is, as a ten-year-old, swearing went over my head. But I'm probably weird that way...

I agree, Spikey - asterisks would also make it look like someone had to go through and 'censor' the story. I'm comfortable using Smartass in writing.

It´s easier to write, eh? I think it´s a case of custom, how to write his name. You should take this name, which you can use best.

I use Smarty or SA cuz it's convenient and all, but in this case his real name would work fine.

Smartass or Smart Ass is my vote. That's the name of the character from the movie that inspired this fic, and besides, it's the responsibility of the parents of what their youngsters veiw on the internet, if they think "Smartass" is too vulgar.

It's been my observation that people get pretty free rein on forums, though... would a kid really ask permission to read some random fanfic?

Smart Ass is a rulin' name, besides, "ass" is technically "donkey", so it should be fine! Ditto on the **. It's like you have to guess what's behind.

Most people use it to mean "butt", though... XP Using it to mean "donkey" is pretty uncommon nowadays because of that, and not everyone knows it's original meaning. Certainly not little kids! I didn't know that it originally meant that when I was a kid.

I knew it because of Tom and Jerry. Education, please! The world only knows bad stuff now. *sticks tongue out in disapproval* Yeah, but Smart Butt doesn't mean much XD maybe Smart Donkey would be more ironic XD I mean I bet it's used for that XP
