Here's a piece of art I did today, plus a little story to go with it. Smart Guy steps in before Hester can tell a little cautionary tale to Kovu, Kiara and the Warner Siblings. "Now kids," Hester announced, "a very special treat is in store. I have a book I used to read as a kid. It's a very special story called...Struwwelpeter. By Heinrich Hoffman from 1864." Kovu and Kiara smiled weakly. Yakko, Wakko and Dot looked at each other with confusion. Hester cleared his throat and began to read. " 'The great tall tailor always comes to little children who suck their thumbs.'" He looked around. "Are you guys listening?" The kids nodded. " 'And heir they dream when he's about, he takes his great sharp scissors out and then cut their thumbs clean off! Conrad's mother---' " "Hester!" Someone snapped. Hester looked up to see Smart Guy standing near the doorway. "What the heck are you reading?!" "They're cautionary tales for kids." Hester replied. "No," Smart Guy snapped. "No, no, no! The kids don't want to hear a book made for scaring kids and making them behave like Nazis." "What's a Nazi?" Dot wanted to know. Smart Guy turned to stare at her. "Uhh...what's a Nazi?" "A Nazi," Hester explained. "Is someone from a Fascist---" "Don't!" Smart Guy snapped. "They're gonna have nightmares, so just zip it!"

Hahah, this is great, what´s a nazi! Well, you´re right, I live here in Germany, but as I was a kid, I never thought about nazis, didn´t know what that is. Children shouldn´t know this if they are so young. But I like this, pics with little stories. That was a goos idea. I know this book, you have used here, and I knew it since I´m 3 or 4. But I must say it´s a strange book.

Now that's a good story for children! XD I was freaked out by some of the Anderson stories when I was little...especially the one with the red shoes, and girl getting her foot chopped off. ekk. SA's being fatherly figure,,,mmm nice! And Warning Siblings! Is is parody of Warner sibling? lol they look super cute!

To Greasy: Yeah, I agree that kids shouldn't be told things the Nazis have done at such a young age, but Hester is a Toon who answers kids question with actual facts. As well as telling the kids stories some German people used to tell their kids. To jebikun: Oh, the "Warning" siblings are actually the real Warner siblings! I already fixed the mistake.
