Okay, so as far as I know, everyone here agrees that Smart Guy is from New York. But what about Benny? He's got the accent, too! Is he also from the Big Apple?

I think he's a full-blooded New Yorker. ^_^ Straight from the city that never sleeps! (LOL I should go there; i barely sleep! XD )

i agree! he must've started out there...which confuses me. if Toons live in Toontown, why are some of them from other places? that is, how does that work? they're born or drawn (or perhaps assembled, in Benny's case ^_^) in say, NY or Mexico, then move to Toontown?

Maybe he was drawn with that attitude of NYC cabbie but stayed near Toon Town. He could go work in NYC too if he wants too, I guess  |

He can't be. He hates their baseball team, the 'Brooklyn Dodgers'.
He's probably from, and mostly likely, either the Bronx, Manhatten, or Staten island. Boston is in Massachusetts, so there is no way he's from Boston, since Benny doesn't have a Boston accent (trust me. My grandma is from Boston. Not even CLOSE.)
Benny's most likely from the Bronx, since back then, the Brooklyn Dodgers (now the Los Angeles Dodgers) and the New York Yankees rivalry was the one with the most animosity back then. Their rivalry was HUGE, and I mean gun and brass-knuckled huge. The New York Yankees, with other teams, called them 'the bums', or just plain old 'bums', and the Los Angeles/Brooklyn Dodgers took it on as their nickname to mock the other teams.
He can't be Queens, because his accent is nasally enough for him to be from the Queens.
Therefore, and I'm laying all my cards down on this one, that I know FOR A FACT that Benny is from The Bronx (or Da Bronx in their accent)
