Who wanna drive? Some of you might already know- I recently found out that they kept changing driver position throughout the movie.+_+ I think it's a nice little touch...So I just did some doodle about it! WFRR fanart 4 years later from the last one, thanks to this board. First driver is Wheezy and then Greasy and then Smarty. Looks like Wheezy and Greasy are not delicate drivers, while Smarty can even perform nice car chase lol. And Psycho and Stupid...never gets to drive, I guess. Here, Smarty hit them just for asking. Enjoy

Well, would'ja look at this! I'm impressed. I've never seen the weasels drawn with a manga influenced style- it's very unique. And you made a very clever observation, too- I never noticed the differences between them. My favorite part is Wheezy in the first panel- great expression. I'm thinking Greasy's eyes are kinda small, though... I've always noticed that they tend to be very narrow, but they're also wide.

fatalhilarity : Thanks-I like how Wheezy turned out, too. And I agree that Greasy's eyes look small in that pix. Originall sketch looked like this...kinda squinting. Due to his fur color, it made his eyes look smaller. Too lazy to fix haha. psychoangel51402 : Hey~^^Thank you! and I think you know how to use PS already, what is it you would like to know? For this pix I used multiply option and bucket and paintbrush, and bit of burn tool. Something else? lemmeknow. And yes you can put it in your website Thank you Weasel Freak and Spikey and Psycho ( What's Karma??) ! *I'm so glad to share stuff with people who actually know these weasels and care and love them

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your pic will be on my site ASAP! Will you join then, maybe? ok, karma is that thing under the number of posts. the more karma you have, the more popular you are. ^_^ Okay, i just CANNOT layer stuff. that's it. You know how in the last panel when Smart Guy KO'd the others, you kinda shaded the whole panel in blue. i can't do that, nor can I do the shadows like you did throughout, esp. on Stupid and Psycho. i don't know why, i'm just dumb i guess, but i can't get it to do that. it does OVER my original lines and obliterates them >:[ hey, do you have a DA account? (NEVER thought I'd ask ANYONE that!)

I unfortunately prefer Paint Shop Pro 9, but I do use Photoshop for a few functions... but the process that gets the best results for me (which I would assume would work for both programs) is kinda complicated and involves layers. Not only that, I could improve the process with a tablet.

Psychoangel- I made quick screen caps. Hope this helps. And about my style, I've been influenced by tons of stuff and built own habit(way) of drawing. You might feel some manga and cartoon's common atmosphere. Whenever I do parody art like this, I tend to stick to original character's look but try to give it some twist. fatalhilarity - I've never tried paint shop. Is it fun to use?

Hmm... that's different from what I do on Paint Shop Pro. What I do is if I'm drawing with a mouse (or ideally, a tablet), I have the lineart and background on separate layers, with the color either on the background or a third layer. Sometimes people will have a fourth for shading! But geez... using Multiply on the paint tool is actually better! Finally, an easy way to color scanned drawings! The only disadvantage I see is that the colors on the new layer can blend with the ones on the background, but of course that's hardly noticeable when you're dealing shades of black and grey. Luckily this works really well on both programs.
Now, the main reason I prefer Paint Shop Pro is because I'm used to it. I used to use 7 for years, and I've used 9 for years as well. Once I started using Photoshop for a few other things (like plain ol' photo tweaking) I discovered many of the easy, basic things I do for just about every project were actually more complicated on Photoshop. Worse, there were some things that made my work tons easier that I couldn't do at all on Photoshop.
I definitely saw a strong manga influence in this. I have a scarce few manga influences, which mostly shows in the way I draw eyes. For the most part, though, I have American cartoons to influence me and not just necessarily golden era ones. Not to be negative, but I don't suppose you've noticed that Wheezy is blue...?

I see^^ Actually I use this way of coloring only for doodles or simple ones. If I want to make it look better, I separate line from the white BG. And Wheezy...yeah he is blue lol. I kinda wanted to try bit tone-downed colors. Bluish gray. But maybe I could just make him blue as he is ^^

Well, for scanned drawings, using Multiply would be the way to do it. My brother had devised a complicated and time-consuming method where you erase all the white parts and leave the lineart transparent... but this method has much, much cleaner results and is a heck of a lot faster and easier. Of course, having high contrast black-and-white beforehand like you have in your drawings here would get the best results. The only real way to have totally and completely cleanly separate lines from the background, guaranteed, would be to draw with a mouse or tablet, after all... unless you have some other idea, which I would be glad to hear.
