okay, so while i was at my father's i was REALLY bored and totally Toon Patrol-deprived, so i started doodling with some markers and here's what came out. all of these are strictly from memory with no ref. and executed with crappy tools, so please forgive the wierd coloring. some of them i tweaked with Photoshop once i got home, so the colors are how they're s'posed ta be, but you'll hafta be the judge whether they look better or not. the first one here is an original of Dizzy. and the tweaked version:

okay, now, they say the eyes are the window to the soul, but i decided to highlight other character details in this series of drawings, so i left the eyes out on most of them. for Smart Guy, the outstanding trait was supposed to be his billion-dollar smile

It's pretty much and electronic drawing pad, which talks directly to the computer when you press the pencil-like stylus, eliminating the need for a scanner. Think of it as a Nintendo DS that is only used to draw things and connects your computer. If that doesn't help, try this: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graphics_tabletAs for these drawings, she specifically said that she did them with markers, right? Just because they're very clean doesn't mean they're drawn with a tablet. I quite like them- I like the one of Dizzy the best. Who knew she could get even skinnier?

oh, no, i have no tablet (they cost too much). i do ALL my drawings freehand, and color SOME of them with photoshop, the rest with colored pencils (crayola and/or prismacolor). like fatal said, i did color these with markers (i don't know what brand) as a rare exception (i explained in the first post in this thread) lol, yesh, Dizzy's a twig! if anyone's interested in seeing the rest, i'll post them when i get my computer back. can i post my Roger and jessica pics of the same series in this thread, or do i have to open a new thread in other fanart and split up my series?

I've been slowly, slowly saving up for a tablet, but I'm a long way's off... the darn thing's $2000! XP That's what I get for being a perfectionist... it's mainly so I can start drawing comic books and teach myself animation without choking my already over-crowded house with pieces of paper. That, and they're tons easier to color on a computer that way. I personally would prefer that you post the rest here, but I don't know if there are rules or anything.
