Now we all love the weasels right? But we shouldn't condone their actions. They did try to help wipe out Toontown and kill thousands of innocent Toons.

It seems strange to me that you feel the need to mention this more than once... I guess some people can be really stubborn, right? You don't need to worry about my views of the weasels- I make every intention to emphasize the downward spiraling path they had to have taken to reach the point where they're okay with mass murder- namely, hatred and revenge- in all of my fanfictions, including the collaborative "ultimate" one.

what i don't get is WHY they did it. surely at least Smart Guy would realize that if Doom wanted to destroy ALL Toons, he'd eventually get rid of them, too?

Also, keep in mind that they have a weakness to laughter, and that they almost always have the giggles. I haven't seen anybody except Flame use that in their fiction.

Once Toontown was gone, the weasels would have been of no further use to Doom. I guess the thought never crossed their minds. I think they thought they were exempt from the Dip.
