Well, yes, it does look like the 40's, but in some sort if modified form. First of all, it sort of looks like a man's suit cut for a woman, cut very short, and second, the gloves sort of remind me of a biker. I've seen MTV music videos where blonde girls dress sort of like that. But there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I think it looks really cool! And why not have a weasel that breaks the rules of 1940's fashion to her own liking? Makes her even spunkier. Besides, there are plenty of moments in movies where a woman dresses like a man.
Ska is the 60's precursor to reggae, where Jamaicans took American rhythm-and-blues and soul and put it to an island beat. Because of it's simplicity, a lot of punk and New Wave bands took inspiration from it, resulting in a revival in the 80's- variously known as Third Wave Ska (there had been a second wave), Ska Punk and Two-Tone (named after a record label). Well, now you know how much of a music geek I am. XP

SWEET! Yeah, Dizzy dresses like a guy because "dresses ain't practical. Ya just can't move in 'em." And since she's so skinny and has such a loooong waist, she had to tailor her clothes to fit properly (she's very self-reliant). Kool, ur a music encyclopedia! That's not geeky - everyone I know calls me a walking encyclopedia, in terms of Websters, DC comics (I helped my sister write a report on Superman during WWII off the top of my head), Redwall, and classic cartoons. If ur a geek, then I'm gonna hafta make up a new word to describe ME!!! I think it's cool ur that interested in music, tho. ^_^

I say he like a girl but she do not like hem. but he what her to like hem. That's how it starts in my fanfic. Dizzy can't stand Smart Guy at first, but he makes it very clear that he's interested in her (in an arrogant, "alpha male" kind of way, if you know what I mean.) I figure he would want a relationship that would be like that of the captain of the football team and the head cheerleader - the guy sees it as more of a right, and the girl is kinda gushy about him. Dizzy isn't really gushy, but it is a similar situation.

No, I don't think he'd dare. As an example, since him and Smart Ass are so alike, I'll use Steelbeak. He has henchmen called eggmen, see? He takes his anger out on them. But he also has "eggwomen" and he's always really sweet to them- he wouldn't dare hit one.

i was considering for my fanfic a scene in which Piglet comes to the weasels for protection from Heffalumps and Woozles, and Dizzy (my fan character) says, 'Wait...aren't we 'Woozles'?", whereupon Smart Guy hits her in the head with a book to shut her up. does that sound "in character" for him?

Well, by all means, write whatever suits you in your fics, since you are the author, after all. I think Smartass wouldn't even consider hitting or even bonking a woman atop the head with something. Sure, he'll rough the guys around. But that's because, well, they're guys. But he'd act different with a girl. Smartass likes class; he has class and he knows it. So i think he'd treat a girl like a lady. But that's just my opinion.

you're right - i finally asked my mom and i really liked what she said. she said, "Every man has a mother. You don't treat a woman like that. Even he knows that." the reason i was on the fence was because my sisters said it would be funny. i didn't really think he would, but i wanted to please them. but then they changed their minds and denied saying that, so i guess i'm safe to stay in character! thanks for answering ^_^

ok, back on the original topic... I'm making a list of names he might use. what i came up with was doll, sweetheart, toots, and dollface as direct names. for general terms (instead of saying "a girl"), I got broad and skirt. i read that Babe, Bim, Chick, Dame (“Dizzy with a dame” supposedly means in love with a woman ^_^), Frail, and Twist are all supposedly used by gangsters to mean a girl. i don't know how reliable my source was, and it has not been corrugated by others. anyone got comments? can anyone tell me if these are "clean"? how many do u think he'd actually use?

ooo-kay...how 'bout this one: would he get one girl as his sweetheart (girlfriend, as we call them in our time ^_^) and stick with her, or would he be one of those guys who likes a bunch of girls? (of course, this would all be behind-the-scenes, for as we all know - when he's on the job he pays no attention to ANYTHING other than his work! ^_^)
