I'm sure everybody's at least familiar with the Spy vs. Spy comics from Mad magazine, which are supposed symbolize the arms race of the Cold War. Has anybody ever seen the little cartoon shorts of them, aired occasionally on Mad TV? I just love them; they crack me up! XD

Lols! It really is! XD Alrighty, the best i could come up with when i googled it was the www.YBCW.com Spy vs. Spy website, so if you're interested, that site should do the trick. It tells about them and has pics and such.  |

I like them, but the ones they do nowadays are only made for the sake of gory humor, which isn't my cup of tea. Give me good-old fashioned slapstick- like they used to have!
Mad magazine I personally think was much better before the 80's, and my favorites, which have influenced my cartooning, are the ones from the 50's when it was still a satirical comic book. Nowadays I just don't get them.

Yeah, the new ones just suck, in my opinion. But the old ones were classic; 18 Karat! Frankly i think they should end it. Their heyday is long gone, so i think it's best to admire the past ones instead of screwing it up by making new ones that lack that spark.

I used to root for the black spy, but when i was 16 i suddenly started rooting for the white spy for some reason. I think because in my opinion a spy wearing all black clothes seems more typical, so the white clothes seems a bit more different? Eh... I'm an oddball. XP |
