I was really bored a few minutes ago, when this lightbulb flashed above my head and burst into cosmic dust. Why not RP with the members on the board, it suggested. What a brilliant plan! So I rushed over with excitement to my laptop and logged into the Toon Patrol Board. Lo and behold, here the topic was born!
If any one you don't understand what RP is, it's role-playing. Role-playing is where you make up a story with other people. I'm sure a lot of you play role-playing games, like World of Warcraft, Dungeons & Dragons, or Final Fantasy (which, by the way, I've never played them, they're only examples). Basically, RPing is story making.
Here are the rules for this RP:
1.) Keep it in the PG-13 rating. No sexual content, language, or extreme violence. You can mention death and fights, as long as you aren't very graphic about it (like Mortal Kombat graphic). For example, in an RP that psychosbiggestfan and I have done over a live chat, "(psychosbiggestfan) Fred the Deer turned into Freddy the Homicidal Maniac and went about slaying people. / (The Unknown) Not even the little green people were spared." See how easy that was?
2.) Do not make ANOTHER story within the story. In other words, please, don't suddenly introduce a bunch of new characters in a new world with a new situation. If for some reason the characters in our story become separated, it is okay to change the focus between characters (like The Lord of the Rings).
3.) Do not add yourself in the RP. Why? It's simple: I do NOT want a war to start in this topic. HERE IS AN EXAMPLE: In the past RP's that I've done with my friends (many, many years ago, a time when we were immature young teenagers), we would include ourselves in our RP's, and many times an RPer would put the other RPers into "adult situations" and death. This did not make any of us happy. I am still surprised that no one shot us to put us out of our misery. *laugh* This is my suggestion, so please don't come whining to me.
...I have a strange feeling that I am going to get banned for starting this topic.
I shall start:
Once upon a time, there lived a little boy, Michael, and his pet goose, Sherman. They lived in a little cottage out by a lake. They lived happy lives picking berries and lying around doing nothing but staring at the clear sky. Then one day...
