I find ghosts to be utterly fascinating, so i made this thread if anyone wants to post their own encounters, visits to haunted locations, ghost incidents they've heard about, ect.

I had an incident happen yesterday morning at like, six thirty. I was walking through the kitchen, heading towards the hall, and in the hall about 5 feet in front of me it sounded like, i heard a womans voice mumble something. It was about as loud as if a person were just standing there. I told this to my mom later that evening, and she said she heard it too, from her room down the hall. My brother didn't hear it this time, but he often hears the same voice in the hall in the time frame of around midnight to two in the morning. (oh, great! I looked at the clock just now and it's 1:50 am! Lol. Oh well. That ghost doesn't do any harm!^^)

A few days after my grandpa´s death I had this feeling he would be as a ghost in his and my Grandma´s house. It was so strange, I have seen him at the ceiling in one of the edges.

Whoa! That's just... I don't know what to say! That must have been very strange and emotional. A couple months after my father died last year i smelled the smoke from his cigarette in my room out of nowhere.

So I don´t know if this was real or just my fantasy, but I can remember very clear.
I and my parents and my grandma were sitting at the table in the livinroom, having lunch.

Days after my oldest brother passed, my whole family smelled the strong scent of his leather jacket in the bedroom.(he always wore a black leather jacket). This still happens once in a blue moon.

I believe in ghosts and that there is some sort of afterlife (hence one of the reasons for my name). I still have yet to see one myself, but I think I'd be scared out of my mind if I did. After all, people are both curious and afraid of the unknown (I cause a bit of fear as well).
A friend and I messed around with a hand-made (from me!) ouiji board many years ago. I still can't quite believe if we were really talking to a spirit (we were trying to contact my favorite dog that my grandparents owned, but we had contact with another spirit that seemed to be aggressive) or if my friend was playing a joke on me. Well, I was all excited and believed that it was real for a year, but now I'm starting to have doubts. After our last conversation with the spirit (which was really eerie and I would not like to discuss it), my friend and I burned the ouiji board and never messed with the spirit world again. Sadly, that was the last time we ever saw and talked to each other as well. =(
Does anyone watch Ghost Hunters?

I've never seen it, but it sounds very interesting! Ghosts don't scare me anymore. They did, but now i'm too used to them. It's such a common thing at my house. Honestly i find it strange when much time passes and i don't see, hear, or sense a spirit.

After my Grandfather's death, his ghost(or spirit) never appeared! I never seen a ghost before, but my mom did when she was a teenager. She was alone in her room. Then, she heard a strange guy's voice. And all of a sudden she got paralyzed. She saw the ghost's feet, but couldnt look up because she couldnt move. Later on, every thing went back to normal. I was freaked out when she told me the story.  |

A few days ago i saw a ghost walk up the front porch. I saw and heard the steps through the open window. I was right there, so i opened the door and went outside immediately to verify it. No one was anywhere, and besides, if they were i would have seen and heard them leave since i was already near the window. This behavior is so common here, and sometimes instead they walk down the porch. This happens both day and night.

Ghost Hunters isn't THAT scary. Yes, they do run into strange phenomenom that cannot be explained, but it's still a very interesting show to watch. I like it because they investigate to debunk hauntings, unless, of course, they can't debunk something. I like their methods of debunking. Some of my favorite (and best) episodes that they have where they encounter strange things is the Irish Castle and the lighthouse down in Florida. I actually want to go visit those places! *laugh*
wifeofsmartass: Are you sure you saw a ghost? Was it possible that it was a reflection? Check under the steps to see if maybe something is making those noises.What kind of steps are they?
