Musical numbers...


I like to imagine that all types of 'toons are not immune to a musical call, since ultimately, all 'toons are made for entertaining.

like how Roger could only get out of the cuff 'when it was funny', I think musical numbers would work in the same way, only happening when the situation calls for it. Two 'toons could be talking to each other about... I dont know, how they visited the dry cleaners and picked up their whatever, and then the music starts playing, and the two have only a few seconds to come to terms with the fact that their going to sing about getting mustard out of they're clothes youtu.be/aNATeLNe9Cc.

If course, this doesn't happen all the time (the way I see it of course, but what about you?) But like a musical in real life, anything can be turned into a song, cleaning the house, talking to strangers, playing games, etc.

And they're not always a minute or so long, some can be a few seconds of some unseen band playing while you sing about how your feeling good today.

Some 'toons are more excepting of this than others, I like to imagine that Smarty would HATE this, you can actually see him dying inside while being forced by 'toon physics to sing about anything.

What do you guys think?

I can definitely see this happening although I feel like there's ways to become immune to it similar to how the weasel's were immune to the old shave and A haircut trick there might even be clinic's in Toontown were Toons learn to control these compulsions

... yeah that would make sense, especially for more mature 'toons, or those who cant afford to fall for tricks like that, like the shave and a haircut trick you mentioned!

Now that I think about it, I think that different genre's have different levels of resistance to this and different reactions to it.
