I don't know why I did this. I just wanted to. It just short stories of what's happened in my life....I was bored. *shrugs* We're all anthromorphic weasel now, though...
The sun that was high in the sky gleamed down at us. Aunt Laura's car gleamed as she and my cousin got out. Skully came up the stairs to my porch quickly, her orange tail wagging. Aunt Laura quickly tells me the rules as Skully goes inside.
Why is my younger cousin staying with me? Her parents are on a business trip. Due to having...four kids, I believe, they had to put one in a different home of someone they trusted. The reason: they already had kids or, like me, they knew that kid could handle that adult.
I'm only twenty-one, sure, but I live in a nice place. No gangs, no crime, no nothing.
I just the door as Aunt Laura drove away. A week. A week with Skully. I could handle that.
Skully is a very patient child, unlike me. Which is good. I rarely get into fights with her anyway.
Skully looks around, a big grin on her face...then again, she always has a big grin on her face.
I realize why she's looking around. She hasn't been in my house. Only my parents for holidays.
I sigh and show her the room she will stay in. She smiles, but frowns and cocks her head at something. I bite my cheek as she picks up a picture.
Inside were two male weasels (I can't remember what they're called). One had black fur while amber eyes looked at the camera, a smile on his face. The other male was much younger, his son. Golden brown fur covers his body as happy, blue eyes look at the camera as well.
"Who are they?" Skully asked.
"My half-brother and nephew."
She blinks as I take the picture. She frowns and says, "You and your brother look nothing alike. You being blue and him being black."
"Like I said: half."
Skully only shrugs as she looks at the picture in my hands again, asking, "What's their names?"
"...My brother is Steven while my nephew is Wolf."
Skully nods. I only glance at the picture before I put it back on the shelf.
"Where are they?" Skully asked.
"I don't know."
Skully blinks. She then bows her head and says, "I'm sorry, I didn't know."
I only glance at her, nodding, as I leave her to her unpacking.
