Nothing special, but hoping I will become new worker at our photostudio. At the moment I´m working there as an applicant, it´s so hard to find a job here in Germany. Many of people don´t have any work.

I hope everything works out for you at that photostudio. So it's hard to find work in Germany? That sucks. It's hard to get jobs in California too; the unemployment rate here is real high. My friend told me about a shelter that cares for greyhound dogs retired from racing. I'd love to work there and take care of dogs! But unfortunately i'm currantly uncertain if the place pays you or if it's just volunteer work. As rewarding as volunteering would be, i need money to survive just like we all do, unfortunately. So i've been researching that. The only thing that makes it hard is that my friend forgets what the paticular name of the shelter is.

Yeah, i was doing that last night, in fact. So far everything about the greyhounds i find out seemed to be strictly volunteer work.

Not, if you would make a new shelter, but that needs money, much, very much money. But then you really can be your own boss and the manager.

That would be a dream job! And no animals would be put to death just because nobody wants to adopt them. My oldest sister that lives in a different state had this really cool job once. Taking care of wild animals at some nature center thing where they'd care for injured wildlife. She got to work with owls, raccoons, cougars; I'd love to do that! :3

Well, to make dreams true is a very hard thing, but your sister has much luck. To work with wild animals was a dream of me, too.

It would be a neat job, huh? Yeah, it sure is hard to make dreams turn real. My sister doesn't have that job anymore, though.

Why? I know this jobs are hard to find, so if you loose it, you never now if you will get another chance. One of my dreams is to work at a wildlife park. I don´t know if there is a job in America, where you work with eagles and hawks and falcons or owls, but some people in Germany hav the luck to work in this position, but you can´t learn this job and here are not enough free places.

I don't know what happened, and why she doesn't have that job. Hawks, eagles, owls, and falcons... hmmm... I don't know what places they have in Europe. Over here there's the California Foundation for Birds of Prey, but i don't really know anything about it. Maybe the Audubon Society could help; they deal mostly with birds. But i dunno if that's world-wide or just the U.S. That would be an amazing job! Working with hawks!

Yeah, they are beautyful, I collect feathers and I have very much, but it´s very hard to get feathers of those birds. I know in America it´s not alowed to sell eagle, hawk and falcon feathers, in Germany you must have a license for that.

You collect feathers? Me too! I have a lot, but only two hawk feathers. One is a Coopers hawk; the other i dunno what kind. I found them all on the ground. But I haven't been picking up feathers to add to my collection since i was around twelve, because i rarely ever come across feathers on the ground anymore. Heck, when i was a kid, feathers were everywhere! But the bird population seems thinner to me than it was back then. Things change so fast! My dad grew up here, and when he was a kid, there were wild rabbits and peacocks running through orange groves, and the busy street that runs parallel to my neighborhood was a mere dirt road with a well to the side of it. Now it's suburbs/city. I don't see as many birds, lizards, or possoms like my dad did in the good ol' days.

My grandma told me that we had peacocks at a little island in our town. It was an island in the middle of the river. This is a photo I made in winter, and in the middle you can see the river, ít´s called Ruhr. And I stood on the bridge, which goes over it to town. Around our town is just forest and hills. It´s like a little Canadian village. And cause of the nature you can see much birds like hawks and wild geese or falcons.

Beautiful picture!! You're lucky that there's a lotta wooded areas around your home. Where i am the closest woods are like a 40 minute drive about. That's so cool you see lots of falcons and geese! I only see wild geese on occasion, when they migrate and fly by in V formation. We still get many typical birds like crows, sparrows, scrub jays, mocking birds, (crows are my faves!) but just not as many as when i was a little kid it seems. We used to get some kind of blackbird thingy, but we haven't gotten those for about 9 years. But i have been seeing more humming birds and hawks. We also have wild parrots that migrated from South America. They just showed up outta the blue, and they thrive here. It was even in the paper and on the news when they arrived. XD
