That´s not really correct.
At first time I thought the same, but than I made a picture of him as his face got very near to the camera. It was when he was send up to the ceiling. The frame when he falls down but not that one when he tries to hold on the net with the bricks. It was right befor a very short szene.

I think greasysalvador is right. There are a FEW scenes where, if you look carefully, you can see whiskers on the Weasel's faces. I'll have to watch the movie again and make a post based on my findings.
