I haven't seen that on my DVD, either. But I haven't looked at all the special features yet, so maybe it isn't just a rumor.

I've seen the Pig-Head scene on my DVD (which is incomplete by the way), but I've never heard of any deleted scene about the weasels being alive- and I have the American DVD. The super deluxe version and everything. I don't know about you, but that sounds a bit like wishful thinking to me... somebody ought to research that, to see if it's true. The bonus features are pretty awesome. They reveal how they did a lot of the special effects and such. I wish they talked more about the story development, though- I mean, who here wouldn't want to learn how the Toon Patrol evolved?
...I suppose I ought to explain why the Pig-Head scene, as it is on the US DVD bonus features, isn't complete. There's an easter egg on disc 1 where you go to the "Acme Movie Theater" on the menu, press down four times, and click on Benny's highlighted speedometer to see the original theatrical trailer. In it, you can see Eddie look in the mirror with the Pig-Head on, and he'll scream "I'M A PIG!!"

I don´t know if i´t´s true, but I want to know that, too! I have heard it some where, and if that scenes really exist, I have to see them! Besides that, your DVD has two disks? The German speciel edition has just one! That´s bad! On ebay I have seen the Canadian version. That looks like a book. And in the inner part if you take out the two DVDs, you can see the actors and toons. The weasels, too! I would really like to have it, but you can´t trust most people on ebay! A few years ago, I was a member on ebay and only one thing, which I´ve got was from Germany and it was the right one! The others from USA or other countries, I never got or it was the wrong thing I never have ordered!

Amazon.com is an excellent place to shop. I buy almost all of my stuff from there. Although since you live in Germany, Amazon UK may be a better choice. The version I have is indeed 2-disc. It says "Vista Series" on it, and the cover is shiny. The two discs are called "Family Friendly" for disc one, which has all the Roger Rabbit theatrical shorts to date (all hilarious), and "Enthusiast" for disc two, which has all the bonus features. It also comes with two supposedly autographed (not really) portraits of Roger and Jessica. Then there's a little booklet that's supposed to be Eddie's casebook. And yes, there's a Region 2 version of the 2-disc edition.

Are on this double disk DVD special scenes with the weasels, too? I mean some you can´t see in the movie! Do you know?

There's only the Pig-Head scene as far as I know. Unless there's some super-secret easter egg that no one's discovered yet, I highly doubt there's any more. You can see some storyboards of an earlier version of the scene where Roger pops out of the plumbing in the Acme Warehouse with a gun- that has some early designs of the weasels when they still were generic and more closely resembled the ones in The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad. Then there's of course the two drawings of Flasher and Slimy.

Ahh, that sounds interesting, but I have heard that you can´t play a DVD from USA with a DVD-player from Europe. That´s so bad! Maybe because of the copyrights.

Actually, it's because of regional formats. You see, American DVDs are what's called Region 1 DVDs, which use the TV format NTSC... whereas European DVDs are Region 2, using the PAL format. A PAL DVD will run ever-so-slightly faster on an NTSC player or TV. The main thing is that US DVD players will sometimes outright refuse to play Region 2 DVDs, because they aren't programmed to do do. Luckily we bought a DVD player that will play all regions, although we had to punch in a code to get it to do that. The company that made it doesn't want us to know! And luckily, there is a Region 2 (European, that is) version of the DVD I have. The only thing missing from it is the audio commentary. It's too bad, really- it's pretty insightful. It's apparently a Dutch/Belgian version. More info here: www.dvdbreakdown.com/titles/whoframedrogerrabbit.html

Let's see... there's the storyboard I mentioned, and the two pictures of Flasher and Slimy I mentioned... the rest is pretty much a random bunch of early designs for the weasels, back when you couldn't tell them apart. One item of interest is a list of their names, only about half of which were used. Finally, the color pictures you see at the top of this forum can be seen together and individually.

Those pictures you have explained, I have seen on a homepage, which was named "Animation Archive" or like that way, but it was deleted I think, because I can´t find it. Maybe the creater of the Toon Patrol Board has taken one of that pictures for this homepage here! or he, or she took the picture from the DVD, who knows?
