Another Chapter
“- YOU FOOLS! YOU ALMOST GOT CAUGHT!! I ASK YOU TO DO ONE SIMPLE TASK, AND YOU ALMOST END UP INMPRISONED!! IT WAS SIMPLER THAN SIMPLE!! A NEWBORN COULD DO IT!!! WHY, I-” Doom shouted at us. I stood there, staring at my feet, feeling ashamed. Like I failed. And my boss was making it worse. I tried to block out what he was saying, but words like “Idiot” and “Easy task” and “Wrong vault” floated to my brain every now and then.
Finally, after about twenty minutes of being screamed at and threatened, Doom let us off the hook. He told us to get out of his sight, and that he was going to have to steal the cash himself. We scuttled off to use his washroom and go to bed. We were really tired. But one thing still worries me, I thought as I lay down to sleep, deciding never to make him mad again.
Doom was so angry, he looked like he could murder somebody.
And I mean that literally.
