Actually, German is the only language that is closest to English. Most of the vocabulary is a no-brainer, while others are an even worse twist than M. Night Shamylan (sp?)!
For example...
Pickel translates to pimple. "Er hat ein gross Pickel," meaning "He has a large pimple."
And Haus should be simple enough.

Oh, das ist okay, gangsterrocket. Meine deutsch ist auch schlecht. Would you believe that I passed my German 2 final exam with a 'C' when the whole exam was mostly German 1 stuff? I'm not kidding. I felt like I was really stupid. I believe that I had failed the listening part as always (which is hard for me, since I don't pay that much attention to the details of the conversation and the fact that they talk so fast). Oh, well. At least I passed the class with a B- due to a high speaking grade and class work.

Holy crap, does your class use the 'Deutsches Aktuelles' texts books? The listening things that come with that series of textbooks are fast too. It's crazy.

LOL yeah! Or how 'Gift' in German actually means poison.. ; Oh my God, I remember that! My mother and I were at Frankfurt air port (an air port that is even bigger than Disney World ), and we were going through security when I noticed the "items not allowed" sign. I saw 'Gift' with a picture of a skull next to it. I burst out laughing and showed it to my mom. I had a blast explaining about its meaning. I can't wait to tell every single American about the meaning of 'Gift' in Germany.

Holy crap, does your class use the 'Deutsches Aktuelles' texts books? The listening things that come with that series of textbooks are fast too. It's crazy. Yes. And I hope to never watch those Deutsches Aktuelles videos again. I hate Sabina, Andreas, and Marco with a passion. Daniel was pretty cool/cute, though he is a bit of a wuss. What kind of guy gets a broken arm/ankle (I don't remember) and receives cuts on his body when several soccer balls hit him as he plays goalie, even though they didn't seem to hit him that hard?! Oh, well. ZehraxDaniel forever! I remember that our final project was to write our own ending to the series (we didn't watch the rest because our teacher, and I quote, thought it was "very lame and stupid"). The senior group split up into two sections because these two guys in our group wanted to end the story with Marco being gay. Yeah. I'm too embarrassed to tell you who I was. -.-; What was your favorite comic in the book? I like the one about those street performers, or 'statues' (these guys are like mimes, but they dress as celebrities and stand completely still until someone drops some Euro into a bucket or hat, then they'd move around a bit). I love the end where these guys trick their friend to take the Euro, saying that it was something along the lines of "finders keepers". I laughed when the performer started to chase after him and the guy screamed, "Hilf mir!" xD
