Wow... I'd really love to see this. Too bad I'm broke. And it seems like it would be hard to track this comic book down... ='(

I thought I saw a picture of Roger rabbit comic book issue 5 in ebay.com! I think it has a picture of Roger Rabbit and maybe Jessica about to get attacked by a big werewolf.

Okay, since nobody else is saying how it goes, I'm going to do it. Yes, that's right- my copy just arrived. First things first: the weasels within are not, repeat, are not the same weasels we see pictured above in this forum's banner. Instead, they are five entirely new weasels, who, as far as I can tell, were made up for this story alone- although I could be wrong, seeing as I don't have the entire series. In fact, they don't appear to have names. They don't really resemble any of the famous five at all. It's as though they didn't use any references, thus rendering their muzzles short and fat rather than long and slender, for the most part.
One is a tall gray weasel dressed in a blue graduation gown with a long white beard- the professor, apparently.
Another is really short, and looks like he took fashion advice from a hippie, with this dumb looking orange hat and orange-and-black striped shirt.
Another is around the same height as the professor, and for some reason wears an avocado green Dick Tracy get-up.
Another short one is sort of an evil, red and yellow version of Jughead.
The final one is another gray tall one who seems to take fashion advice from the Hitchhiking Ghosts, with this ridiculous brown top hat that's equal in length to nearly a third of his height.
The story itself is amazingly simple: a hillbilly rabbit named Eugene wants to become a cartoonist, but he's really bad at it. So he goes to an art school, unaware that it had gone out of business and had been replaced by the "Weasel Tech". Neither party realizes the misunderstanding and so Eugene tries to be slinky, sneaky, and shifty and fails miserably. When he finally discovers the truth, he sends them all to jail- for being weasels, apparently.
I was personally a bit dissapointed by it, seeing as I had no idea who the weasels were, and I wasn't really impressed by the way they were drawn... but that's just me I guess. I'll try to scan and post it tommorrow afternoon and see what you guys think of it.

He calls the professor the "head crook", whatever that means. I think he may believe that he was ripped off, because he didn't get his money back, which was his life's savings. He says there was a reward, so maybe they had already commited a crime. But I really have no clue what specifically Eugene is turning them in for. Seems to me like it was because they were... there. Speaking of racism, another issue of an earlier series has Roger wondering whether or not the weasel (who remained unnamed) that just moved next door to him is going to attack him or not. While I can understand weasels having a grudge against him, he truly wonders to himself if all weasels are actually all mean and nasty. He spends the entire story trying to find out more about the weasel or sending him a welcome gift, and of course goofs it up entirely. This nearly gets Roger arrested. And of course the weasel turns out to be good. Luckily, they make peace, if not awkward peace. Here Roger, meet Irony. Your lesson today is to not be a paranoid xenophobe. PS: I need to get ready for my college class. I'll try to make the scans as soon as I get back...

Okel-dokel... here it is. Sorry for the delay- our printer wasn't cooperating. Click!Thinking about it, Eugene having them arrested for refusing to return his money (which is apparently his life's savings) is an okay reason. And if there was already an reward on their heads, it's probably just as well. I don't know why the professor asks him if he's going to split it with him, especially considering it'd probably make up for his lost money, nor why he calls Eugene his "friend". Desperate, I suppose. Then again, the professor could be right in a small way in saying that Eugene is a jerk. I vote for a combination of both sides being at fault. I get the impression that these weasels are supposed to be elsewhere in this series. But considering that this is the final issue of a very short-lived series (only five), it'd have to be in previous issues. I doubt they were in the original comic series. So here's hoping that we may see them again... sort of. ... I take pleasure in overanalyzing dopey stuff like this. I dunno why.

Hmm, I was a bit disappointed that the weasels were not the same weasels we know and love. Your lesson today is to not be a paranoid xenophobe. :Pquote] That sounds like an interesting story. ;D
