I've seen them before, I think they were a fashion item of the 1920s. Need to do a little more research on that subject, though.

Yeah, you'd be surprised at how cartoons sometimes stick true to real life =)
They're either that, or a light parody of those fancy saddle-shoes that were popular back in the day. The resemblance is uncanny if you look closely.

Well, yeah, but Toons usually don't wear shoes. Greasy's an exeption, though. Bare feet won't go good with his suit.

Stupids shoes are cute.^^ Greasy's shoes are cool, and Smartass's spats are to die for!!!!!! (perhaps that is a little over the top, but you catch my drift) I myself have a pair of spats. I know it's guys that normally wear them, but i really don't care. ;D

I ordered mine a couple years ago online. They were only about 25 dollars and when they arrived, i found them to be excellent quality. Very classy and well made.
