Yes, she is right! And so are you, little mug and Unknown! I shout it loud and i shout it proud- Smart Ass!!!!!!!! Oh, and Unknown, i too have a potty mouth and am contently guilty of using profanity. Frankly i don't consider smartass a bad word. When it comes to the vulgarity of a words definition, there's an array of words that surpass "smartass" as being bad. Isn't the word "war" much worse? Or "hate?" Smartass is just a cocky little word that makes the perfect name for a cocky little character, that's all.

I call him Smartass (or Smart Ass, but I always do it as one word.) I'm one of those non-politically correct people who find it kind of demeaning when they change something after the fact to make it more palatable for the masses. Smartass he is, and that he'll stay.  |

Well, I just dislike things like that. :\ For me it somewhat ruins the effect that the creators might have been going for. (And I've seen too many movies that are 'toned down' so it pleases people, but it never pleases people enough. ) I'm one of those people who would quite happily buy a DVD of classic WB "War Toons" and watch them completely uncut. The reason it doesn't bother me is because you have to understand the mindset of the time. (Key here is 'understand', not agree with or follow 100%. ) Yes...I'm guilty of saving fanfics into a word document and using the 'replace' feature to change his name. I never keep them though, just do enough to read through it without my brain constantly 'hanging' on his name. |
