Good grief... I just looked at the screenshots I have, and I never realized that Wheezy had blue eyes! That's pretty d*** rare for a weasel. The only other Disney weasel to have actual irises is Slithy... and his are blue, too, albeit a brighter blue. Wow, that makes me look at him so differently... I wonder why he has them? Of course, all of them have small highlights when you get close to them...

I know a real ferret who has the prettiest blue eyes ever. So it's not completely odd-ball, just rare in animation. (But then, most toons don't tend to have iris colors because it's easier to draw them without them.) [edit] Hey, you should make a 'easter egg' where if you click on his cigarette it lights. I laughed at the sailor suit...I can just imagine him going "I'm going to kill the person who mixed Donald's laundry with mine."

Among Disney weasels, though, it's gotta be the rarest physical feature ever. Slithy is the only other one! Unless I haven't looked closely enough... perhaps I should more closely at the screenshots and scans I have...

I thought you always knew^^ For me it was GRAY(VHS)->PALE VIOLET(DVD played with old TV)->PALE BLUE(DVD played with computer) Blue eyes look good on him And for Slithy, I thought that his eyes turning blue was part of the 'take'. Maybe he does originally have blue eyes^^

Well, as you can see in the second page I posted, they can be blue when normal. He definitely has irises, though. I see you did Greasy, too... now, what would Psycho look like without his strait jacket on? The only other person I know who's done that is Greasy (the member), and I recall someone else mentioning that they did it long ago... that person never posted it here, as far as I know.

Greasy? *goes to look*
Hey, there's Roger.
*laughs*
I love the costumes for Roger. XD
Greasy's expression is priceless, too. He's all like "Grr, baby. Like what you see?" *laughs*
{edit}
Man. Now you've got me trying to figure out what Psycho -would- look like without that jacket.

If there's one thing I'm nitpicky about, when it comes to Toon Patrol physical features, it's Smarta**'s chest. His jacket, although partly padded, gives me the impression that his chest is a lot broader than the others and sticks out more. I think it's very appropriate since he has such pride, after all. Greasy, of course, has a very different body type, so the type of girls he would succeed in attracting would have different taste...
...This is the problem with taking a cartoon character's clothes off... XP >.<; I'll stop talking now.

-fatal: oh! thanks! I see now... how did I miss that? I have been wondering what Psycho looks like without his straight jacket for some time now... -kishi: Ahhh! That's EXACTLY what he seems to be saying! lol -fatal: Ibeg your pardon, I must be a fangirl for a moment... Heeeheeeheehee...Smart Guy is indeed barrel-chested...heeheeheehee...he's such a stud.... *Ahem* done now. *wipes drool off of mouth* Speaking from what I know about character design, I see it entirely fitting (and extremely attractive XP) for Smart Guy to have a broad chest. It fits his personality both as a leader and as one who is very prideful. Is it not correct that among both animals and people the largest male is usually the dominant one? And he KNOWS it, too, obviously. So I think it's very fitting. And now I shall go draw him without a shirt 8P

It's been my observation, though, that the tallest and most heavily built weasels are actually the stupidest- Stupid, Doofus, Bub... all taller and stronger-looking than their smarter, dominant counterparts, but not as intelligent. They all have large round eyes, too, I notice. This is perhaps the reason why Stupid is considered cuddly but never "smexy".
So the way I see it, cunning, intelligence, cleverness, boldness, confidence, and sharp wit are considered to be desirable traits among male weasels. Narrow, almond-shaped eyes seem to be the strongest indicator of such traits. So I think it's possible that the weasely "Olympian ideal" would be a tall, broad-chested, broad-shouldered weasel with brains AND braun... Of course, if Greasy's craving for Jessica and Winnie are any indication, hourglass figures are the ideal for female weasels.
Not too much different from our taste as humans, eh? A lot of subconscious Freudian gobbledygook can be read into this stuff... Cartoonists seem to put a lot of that sort of thing into their work, if the Tex Avery wolf is any indication... I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that the majority of cartoonists are adult men. Most female cartoonists, from my observation, tend to draw cuter characters. That may be generalizing, though.

If anything about real ferrets applies... Most of the people I talk to with ferrets, the smallest -female- ferret is usually the bossiest one. Or barring there being a female, the smallest male. It's the weirdest thing, but it's almost like them being smaller makes them fight harder. I've met plenty of female artists/cartoonists who can draw things that would creep you the heck out. XD (One of them can get pretty graphic with the gore. I get queasy looking at some of her artwork. XD) As a female cartoonist most of my stuff -is- rather cute. Even the creepy things turn out cute, but that's just my style. I can also draw really disturbing things if the mood takes me. It really depends on what the situation calls for. ... Where did Greasy go after Winnie? I haven't seen that one. I always kind of thought Tex's wolf was a play on words. They used to call me who hung around eyeballing the ladies 'wolves'. They were kind of the male equivalent to todays female 'cougars'.

I'm talking about regular ol' cartooning- y'know, inspired by American cartoons and comics of all kinds and time periods. Gore usually applies to more serious comic books in America, which I don't really consider to be cartooning since they're based on reality. Opinions aside...
It's difficult to say how much toon weasels behave like real mustelids, since most of the time they're drawn and created by people who know very little about weasels. More often, a cartoonist will put their own ideas of beauty in varying degrees into almost any toon who isn't meant to be cute, goofy, or scary, especially male cartoonists. Toons reflect human nature far more than they do animal nature simply because they were created by human hands. Even something like The Lion King! I wouldn't be at all surprised if strong-willed, dominating women were popular among weasels, though. That's likely part of the reason Greasy likes Jessica...
"Greasy craving Jessica" and "Winnie" were meant to be two totally different items. So no, Greasy never officially encountered Winnie. If he had, I would've told everyone right off the bat! It'd be pretty big news. I wasn't sure how to make that clear. It's just that we're obviously meant to assume that Winnie is practically Jessica's equal, if it weren't for the fact that Hollywood apparently prefers redheads over blondes.
Oh, I have no doubt that the Tex Avery wolf is a play on the term "wolf"- which, unless I'm missing something, is rooted in "Little Red Riding Hood". It's just that I doubt an innocent person of either gender or an adult woman would create a female cartoon character that was merely an object for the wolf to gawk at. It's a male fantasy.

Mm...actually what I was referring to is a piece of fanart for a cartoon series. Ah, I got you. (I kind of thought it would be funny if poor old Greasy spent his time avoiding Winnie. Why? I don't know. Just for comedic effect I suppose. Now see, I adore "Red". I think she's a lot of fun, even though she doesn't get to do much besides bash the Wolf over the head and sing. (Although in part it's her fault for getting him going with that song of hers. XD) Out of all the Tex cartoons, I really like those. video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8039477657790445932 <- For those who've never had the chance to see "Red Hot Riding Hood". Watch it and tell me what it reminds you of. ;D There's also the 'not sequel'... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Df5H_dCgqBg <- "Swing Shift Cinderella" If you ask me, this one is the more provocative of the two with how she dances. XD But it also has the funnier ending.
