Okey-doke. Here's the little rascal: smg.photobucket.com/albums/v428/tymime/Weasels/House%20of%20Mouse/?action=view¤t=hov1.pngI don't know why he's wearing those white gloves or those stupid shoes. Still, you gotta love his smarmy smile... I'm quite certain that he also appears in the main part of a House of Mouse episode- besides the shorts, that is- as a lawyer. He does a gag in which he shows a bunch of other lawyers that look exactly like him... which I interpret as a toon's ability to multiply himself. There's another short I know of where he makes an extremely brief cameo in a single shot. He looks up at something darting past him, startled. I don't know which short it is. My point is that the same design is used at least three times, because they all have the same pointy face. Also, I can say with absolute certainty that he isn't voiced by Jim Cummings. I know his voice when I hear it. It's unmistakable! This weasel doesn't sound like him. It's actually Jeff Bennet, one of my favorites, according to voicechasers.com.

Hello? Anyone? Isn't anyone interested anymore? I hate to bump a topic, but I'm just disappointed that no one seems to be interested in this newly discovered weasel...

Well, I´ve seen your pics, great you found them. But I don´t think that the weasel on the pics looks like the others of the toon patrol. He´s not really brown and not really grey furred. And his teeth are white and not yellow.

Ummm... why does that matter? After all, there are plenty of other Disney weasels who don't look entirely like the Toon Patrol. A Disney weasel is a Disney weasel. To me, his fur is the brown color of a cheap mostly artificial hot chocolate. Actually, he most strongly resembles Br'er Weasel, who as we all know, predates all other weasels- but I really doubt that's intentional. Brown or grey fur (this guy's sorta in between the two) and yellow teeth do not make a Disney weasel, since they're white in almost all other cases, and Wheezy is blue, for crying out loud! He looks enough like a Disney weasel to me... why have such criteria? ...I really don't understand why you would even bring such things up. Do you not think he's a weasel or something?

The only real difference I see is that he has more pointed face than most, and that he has those dumb Mickey gloves and shoes. Taking a look at many of the others in comic books, one can see that they can have noses like sausages, or even short ones, and some have big shoes and pants, or large hands, or pointed ones... there's a lot of variety. There are only so many things that they have in common- the predominate feature I would say was their body type.

No, he doesn't have a name- it isn't mentioned in the short itself, anyway... I'd have to see his other appearances to be sure. In the meantime, we can at least give him a temporary name... Robert? Hmm, I dunno. "Rob" would be more appropriate, considering his personality. "Smarmy" would be great as a descriptive name, but so many weasel names start with the letter "s" and end in "y" already... Shifty, Sneaky, Slithy, Sleazy... we've got enough already.

oh, i no - Robert is NOT a weasel name! he just looks like a Robert to me ^_^ aren't Slithy and Sleazy taken?

Yeah, they're taken- they're all taken. That's why I mentioned them! We have too many like that as it is. Shifty is taken by one in an episode of DuckTales (I dunno if that counts as circa 1947 or what)- it's even mentioned in the dialogue- and Sneaky is one of Weasel Freak's OCs, if I'm not mistaken. Sleazy is the one who says "Permit me to get the door for ya, chumps!" and whatnot in Car Toon Spin (named by the member Two-Bits) and Slithy is the droopy-nosed, purple-suited one in the graphic novel Resurrection of Doom, named by me.

Okay, it turns out I had two different Wikipedia articles mixed up- the article about the series in general, rather than the one specifically about the special Mickey's House of Villains, lists the Toon Patrol as one of the guest appearances. It doesn't say which episode they're in, so I can only assume it's "Pete's House of Villains". And like I mentioned in the Jose Carioca thread, there IS an unofficial DVD, unfortunately lacking a single episode. (There's also an incomplete Bonkers DVD, which hopefully includes "Get Wacky".) I dunno how soon I'm gonna get it.
