Oh, God, they are just too adorable!!!! Ferrets are just the best. I want to get one, but they are illegal in California. But despite this, people have them anyways, and they sell ferret food and products at pet stores, and even grocery stores. So despite the ferret ban, there are apparently ways people get around it... >_>

I have to wait about ten years to get a ferret because my mother hates them for some reason and the dogs at my dad's house like to eat any kind of small living creature, including spiders. These guys aren't mine: I got the pictures off google.

It sucks when you want a certain animal real bad, but the circumstance prevents you from getting one, doesn't it? Another animal i'd love to get is a teacup stingray, but they too are illegal in California like ferrets.

I think ferrets are incredibly cute, only I live in California. I do know somebody who got one anyway, so maybe if I were richer or something.

Teacup... Stingray?? Whad id dat? >.> Teacup stingrays, also called reticulated stingrays, are a freshwater ray that people keep as pets. They're only 12 to 14 inches in disk diameter, not counting the tail. They are illegal in about 10 states, if i'm correct.

I'll feel your pain, fatalhilarity, about ferrets being outlaws in the golden state. But there's ways around it. People drive to Arizona to buy ferrets and then bring them back to CA all the time. I've even read about vets who will treat illegal ferrets under the tables.

I see them all the time in pet stores. They are way way WAAAAY more cute in person. I almost started cry because I couldn't cuddle one. They were all snuggled up against eachother, sleeping. So adorable. And then one of them woke up and slinked through a plastic tunnel-thing. When she/he came back out he/she started scratching itself and then fell over with its hind leg still moving. Oh God I still want one SOOOOO BADLY.

They're illegal in CA because people are worried that they'll escape and breed with polecats- one of their closest relatives- and goof up the ecosystem.
