Totally Mexican! If he was Mexican-American, he wouldn't have an accent.

Mexican, i think. It's historically accurate to the Pachuco culture.

Yes, sure, but I wonder how Wickypedia says he would be Puerto Rican?! I think they didn´t ask the creators of the weasels.

You know how Greasy shouts "Caramba!" in the movie; is that more of a Mexican term or a Puerto Rican term? Or does it apply to eithor or?

I think it applies to both. My Puerto-Rican friend says that very often. But I might not be accurate, because she also says, "Ay, chihuahua!". That's a Mexican movie term.

Interesting! Most of all of my friends happen to be Mexican, but none of them ever say caramba.

XD Yeah, well, my friends are more or less thirteen. You know, that age where everyone acts like Psycho all the time? Pretty sure your friends are more mature than mine. XP

Well, caramba is a word, I think in every country with Spanish speech is spoken, so I think that everyone says that emotional word on his own way. I say it, too, but not so often. But when I´m saying it you can hear a slight accent, although I never learned Spanish. My mom is a Mexican, but she growed up in a German family as an adopted child, so she never leaned it, too. I´m not like the typical Germans, because I can feel my roots very good. And if you really wanna speak a language, you must feel the language and the life of the people, who are speaking that language every day.
But besides of that word caramba, which Greasy shouts out in the movie, we also can see that he wears a zoot suit and that is a typical sight for being a pachuco. And only Mexicans were those pachucos in 1940s. So that is what I can say about this. Maybe that of 50 pachucos there have been, was 1 of them who wasn´t a Mexican. But I don´t think that the creators couldn´t think so far ahead to get those ideas.

Yes, I still think Greasy is totally Mexican. He resides in southern CA, and Mexican people are a huge part of the population. I live in southern CA, and i come across more Mexican people than other races. So Greasy being Mexican makes a lotta sense.
