That's just strange. And i can't imagine Santa being an aussie out-back kind of guy. Some cartoons are so bizarre; i wonder what goes through the minds of the people behind the film sometimes.

Well, this Aussie guy turned from a live-action human to plain ol' animated Santa Claus. The only thing that made him Australian as Santa Claus in any way was his hat. Otherwise, he was your standard Santa. The weirdest part was that there was no explaination. So I have no clue if he was really supposed to be Santa Claus or the entire adventure was Dot's vivid and skewed imagination. They don't address it in any manner whatsoever. That sort of ambiguity in children's stories has always bugged me. I enjoy some unexplained mysteries in my stories, but whether or not what we just saw was supposed to have actually happened is something I'd rather know for sure. The only story that gets away with it is Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, which I think was the first to do that sort of thing.

I've heard of Dot and the Whale, but not the kangaroo one.
