Why has Wheezy grey fur? Some are saing it cause of his age. He is the oldest. Some others say thet he smokes so much, thet his fur became gray with time. But his fur is blue-grey and not yellow-grey. You know, like his shirt, he wears. My theory is that he is a special weasel. Psycho, Smart Guy and Stupid are longtailed weasels, but without tails, wich aren´t long. Greasy is a longtailed weasel from south part of Northamerica, and Wheezy is a mink. Minks can have much colors: brown, grey, white black, creme and so on....
But what do you think?

Somebody has already started a thread on this, it's called Blue Weasel, and I personally think he's more blue than grey. And we aren't sure that he's the oldest, he might as well be the youngest. Not to put you down or anything, but I don't think that Eddie would have called them weasels if some of them were minks. And it couldn't have been Eddie's mistake, 'cause the the script would be wrong then, and the script is never wrong. That would be like being wrong on your own story, and it's totally impossible to be wrong on your own story, since you're the one who wrote it. Still, that's a good idea, Salvador.
P.S. Can I call you Salvador?

The reason why he's blue is probably the same reason why Snagglepuss is pink. It's difficult to say what age he is. It could be that all that smoking is making him age prematurely, so to speak. I mean, I don't think he's truly aging, but the cigs are making it look that way. I think he's the oldest still because of his body language more than anything. My impression is that he's been hardened by his experience.

Sure, you can! It´s my name!
I just wondered! What does the script tell about the weasels?
Who is Snagglepuss?

Snagglepuss is a pink lion of some sort, by Hanna-Barbera: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SnagglepussHe's kind of like the Cowardly Lion, except with a higher voice. I honestly don't know why he's pink, I'm just noting the similarity. It was probably a decision of the animators- you could say that Snagglepuss is pink because he's a wuss, and that Wheezy is bluish-grey because it reminds one of cigarette smoke and ashes. Or maybe because it resembles blue fire.

He remainds me on Pink Panther! But he looks smart! I think I have seen him, but I have benn very small.
So none can say why Wheezy has blue-grey fur, just Wheezy him self.

He has, like, got none of the same coolness as the Pink Panther- although the Pink Panther has frequently been goofy and awkward despite the fact that he's known as the epitome of cool. Shagglepuss has been joked about more than once about being gay- it isn't at all official, of course. But being pink and having a relatively high and undulating voice gives that impression. He was made in the Sixties, so by Hanna-Barbera's rulebook, he isn't.
I suppose the animators have a reason for him being blue-grey. I would imagine it's sort of like smoke stains or something. But we don't know who it was that decided that he should be that color, so for now I would assume that it was an artistic decision. In Wheezy's world, it might be explained as being either "just a toon thing" or something to do with cigarettes.

Or maybe both. Like, half 'n' half. Maybe the animators wanted him to have blue fur, and then made the excuse of smoking too much.

Maybe!? So that could mean that someone with pink fur is smart, or gay, however!

And he's cute with it. But I believe that it's cuz he smokes. I think he's not the oldest, so I'll just stick to the smoking theory. Don't ask why. It just makes sense to me.

I think by "oldest", most people here mean that he's older than any of the other Toon Patrol members- not nessecarily that he's middle-aged or anything. I'd put him at around 25 or so. Part of the reason he comes off as older, to me anyway, is the look in his eye. I see experience in it, mostly with shooting people. Also, all that smoking has probably had a negative effect on his appearance- what that effect is exactly, besides his pink eyes and yellow-stained fingers, I'm not entirely sure.

Bad effects, sure! But I think that his fur would become pale creme and not grey-blue, I don´t know, but have you seen the flat of a smoker? The walls are more pale-creme and not blue or grey! That´s what I´m thinking, but what´s with you?
