Chapter 7.
Smart Guy's POV
Greasy and I continued walking home. Meeting Fred was our second stop this whole trip home.
"Do you think he'll actually do it?" Greasy asked. I shrugged.
"Only time will tell." I said. We turned a corner and saw my house. My eyes widened, then I groaned.
"What? What's the matter?" Greasy asked. I pointed to a van that was parked in front of my house. Greasy tilted his head. "So?"
"That's my aunt and uncle's van, witch means the hyena trio are here!" I buried my face in my hands. "Snicker, Giggle, Chuckle." Greasy had his face screwed up, trying hard not to laugh.
"Well...um...those are...interesting names." I thought the poor guy was gonna explode any minute.
"Go ahead, laugh. I don't care." Just what I thought, Greasy burst out laughing. It was about five minutes before he calmed down. We continued walking.
We reached the front of my house, I started to get very nervous. "I suggest you get out of here--OOF!" I fell on my back, and stared up at a red Toon hyena. He started snickering.
"Heh, heh. Never gets old, don't ya agree guys." Two other red hyenas bounded out of the bushes.
"Yeah, never." the smallest chuckled. The only female stared at Greasy. Greasy stared back and smiled.
"Could you get off of me! " I snapped. He hopped off and sat next to his brother and sister.
"So these are cousins, huh?" Greasy asked. I nodded rolling my eyes.
"That's Snicker," I said pointing to the hyena that jumped on me. "The one that's next to him is Chuckle, and the one staring at you is Giggle." Greasy stared at Giggle, who looked away and blushed. I stared at her as well, it was the first time I've seen Giggle blush.
Giggle, was known to be the leader of her brothers because she was the smartest. She was tomboy, and was never into girl things, such as make-up, shopping, boys, blah, blah, blah.
Snicker, the oldest, was the practical joker. When ever he was quiet that meant bad news. His main targets: Giggle, Chuckle, Becky, and me. Snicker was the muscle of the trio.
Chuckle, the youngest, has a bit of both from Giggle and Snicker. He had brains, and muscle. He was pretty big for his age, but a little clumsy once and a while.
"Nice to met all of you." Greasy said smiling. Then his smile fell, as though he remembered something important. "Uh, Smart Guy could I talk to you for a sec?" He pulled me aside, as Snicker and Chuckle muttered something about me not being a smart guy.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Do you remember what Doom said?" he asked.
"A little bit."
"You know, three cousins?" My eyes widened.
"You don't think that my cousins would be part of the gang do you?!"
"I don't have three cousins. So far your the only one with cousins right now."
"BUT THEIR ANNOYING!"
"You guys do know where just sitting over here?" Chuckle said behind us.
"Look," Greasy said. "Just ask them, they might want to join." I thought about it.
'Maybe they won't be interested.' I thought. I finally agreed to ask.
"Hey guys," I said turning around. They all perked their ears and looked at me. "Do you guys want to join a club of ours?" Snicker tilted his head to one side. Chuckle started scratching his ear. Giggle stared at the ground while her ear twitched.
"What kind of club?" Snicker asked.
"Well, it's not very big right now but I understand if you guys don't want to join." I started feeling more confident that they weren't going to join.
"How many members are there?" Chuckle asked licking his leg.
"Well, me, Greasy, maybe a weasel named..."
"WE'RE IN!" Giggle shouted all of the sudden.
"WHAT?!" Her brothers and I asked in shock. Greasy nudged me in the ribs. I looked at him and he was grinning. I glared at him.
"Alright then," I some what grumbled to them. "That settles it. You guys are in." Giggle gave a yip of happiness. Snicker and Chuckle stared at her, still shocked. Greasy took out the piece of paper Doom gave us and wrote something on the back.
"Here's my address," he said handing it to me. "Ask your parents if it's ok for you to come over, I'll ask mine." I nodded. He gave me a thumbs up and walked home. Giggle sighed and watched him leave. Chuckle and Snicker stared at each other.
"Come on guys," Giggle said standing up. "Let's watch David...I mean
Smart Guy, ask his parents if he could go." She bounded up to the door and opened it. We just stood there watching her. She poked her head out of the door. "Well, aren't you guys coming?" Snicker and Chuckle looked at each other, then stood up and followed her. I followed after them.
My parents gave me the ok to go over to Greasy's house. I walked over to his house and knocked. A little Toon weasel girl about five opened the door. She was wearing a pink shirt with blue jeans. She had long black hair that was clipped back in to half a pony tail. I smiled at her. Then she screamed loudly and slammed the door.
"ALEJANDRO!" I heard her scream. A second later Greasy opened the door carrying the little girl.
"Oh, hi Smart Guy. Look Rosa this is my friend, not a bad guy." Greasy said. The little girl buried her face in Greasy's shoulder. I thought it was really cute. "Come on in."
We sat down in the living room, where the radio was on and news paper were scattered about, both English and Spanish.
"What were you trying to do?" I asked as he placed Rosa down. "Make a paper car?"
"Ha, ha." He said handing Rosa some crayons and a few pieces of paper. "Very funny. I asked my dad where I could find someone misunderstood, and he said the newspapers."
"Maybe he was joking." I said handing Rosa a pink crayon. She snatched it away and glared at me. Greasy sighed.
"I thought so too, so I turned on the radio. Usually an announcer says something that helps Toons." He picked up a news paper page, and crumpled it up in a little ball.
"CARAMBA! It's no use! I have no idea where to find a misunderstood person in a cold world!"
"Attention all listeners," a radio announcer said.
"Do you need a new person to join a club?" We looked at each other.
"Yeah." Greasy said.
"Perhaps a misunderstood person, but have no idea where to find one?""Yeah, yeah! That's us!" Greasy said leaning closer to the radio.
"Well then you need to go to, AAA-AAA-ASYLUM. Located in the human world.""The human world?!" we both said.
"That's right, the human world. At 39 north 572 west. Remember it's AAA-AHA-ASYLUM, in the human world, 39 north 527 west. Hope to see you there!" Then the radio turned on to the tune "Who's Afraid Of The Big, Bad, Wolf?" We stared at each other.
"Don't worry Alejandro," Rosa said handing him a piece of paper with pink writing on it. "I wrote the address down for you." Greasy took the paper from his little sister and ruffled her hair.
"Should we go there tomorrow?" he asked. I nodded.
"Yeah we should, I'll bring my cousins. Thanks for writing it down for us Rosa." I said. She turned to me.
"Nimrod!" she said.
Well, there you go. Just to let you guys know, I got the Nimrod idea because I have a neighbor who has a four year old boy, and he usually calls my older sister a Nimrod. I just thought it would have been cute, sorry if you guys think it's being to harsh on Smart Guy.
I'm also sorry that I don't put description, I sometimes forget.
