Okayyyy... I hate to brag more (well, not really), but my dad's also a really good math teacher.
Okay, back on topic... Any of the Toon Patrol having children would certainly leave less room for 24-hour work, wouldn't it?

She's likely to be a smoker, too, though... I mean, she would at least have to be able to put up with his smoking, like we've all said. What I'm wondering is whether or not she'd be okay with their kids smoking.

Probably not, but once the kid is 18, they're gonna know that there's nothing they can do about it. And I'm sure they'll probably understand the great possibility of their kids sneaking cigarettes when they're teenagers.

Maybe their kids will realize how disgusting smoking is (no offense to any smokers, honestly, I love many people who smoke) and not do it. Like my grandma has been smoking since she was 15, and she has emphysema and diabetes (because smoking raises your blood sugar levels). My mom saw her smoking all those years and couldn't stand it. My grandpa was one of the most healthy people you'd ever know but he got esophagus cancer, which the doctors thought was caused by all the second-hand smoke. So maybe his kids will see their parents coughing and hacking, and not want to be part of that.
Or they'll just be encouraged to smoke, since many kids at school think its 'cool' to smoke and since they're around so many cigarettes at their disposal, they can sneak large amounts (just look at all the cigarettes Wheezy has). Because part of my relatives on my mom's side took up smoking since they were exposed to that, so it's a give or take situation.

The 40's were a time when it was more likely that someone real young would take up smoking, so I think there's a pretty good chance... Wheezy's kids would have to get used to his smoking, wouldn't they? We already decided that he wouldn't be able to quit...

Yes, his kids would have to put up with his smoking. Wheezy just wouldn't be able to quit, and its just not for his character. They'd probably end up as the big smoking family XD He probably wouldn't be proud of his kids smoking, though.

My dad smoked cigarettes most of his life, and that's what resulted in the cancer that killed him when I was 19. He was such a sage-like, intelligent man whom everybody went to for advice; the only dumb thing was the smoking. I never touch cigarettes. Yuck! So yeah, i suppose it's a fifty-fifty chance whether or not Wheezy's kids would carry on the habit.
