Aldria's Beginning
Chapter One
It was 7:00 in New York, and sunlight was pouring into a tween girl’s bedroom. Inside the room, the shaggy carpet was a dark beige, and the walls were painted light blue. Pictures and drawings and photos of animated villains filled the walls on all sides, most of them having spiky hair, sharp teeth, swirling eyes, a mallet or two, etc. A large dresser was centered on the largest wall in the room. In the wall to the side of the dresser’s was a large door in the corner, with a dark blue bookcase a few feet away from it. Parallel to the bookcase was a window that gazed down on the already busy streets of the city, and a small, though long, bed. And in the bed was the tall, lanky, elf-faced, strawberry-lipped, whitish-blonde-haired tween girl. On her side, she snored once again, sounding like a country man gathering spit for the spittoon. An alarm clock, placed on a small white nightstand by the window, started to vibrate, and then let out a long, loud ring. The girl’s eyes shot open and she fell off the bed.
“Yaah- Oof. Ugh.”
Her hand reached up to the night stand, patting the surface, trying to find the clock. She succeeded, grabbed it, and hurled it at the wall, where it broke and immediately quieted down. She took hold her bed’s Sylvester and Tweety Bird sheets and pulled herself to her knees. She leaned on the bed. “I hate Mondays,” she muttered to herself bitterly, then got up to get ready for school. She stopped to tear the Monday's off her calendar before rushing out of the door in an attempt to get the bathroom first, shouting angrily at her brother running down the hall.

Lynn’s Beginning
Chapter Two
A girl sat on a rocky ledge in a seven-floored garage, looking down at the wonderful Big Apple, the city that never sleeps. In fact, she wasn’t able to sleep. She was in a light sleep the whole night and woke up earlier than usual this morning, thanks to some unfortunate person’s car getting towed. Her long dark hair swayed in the breeze, her skin as white as winter. Her plum-colored eyes merrily watched people continue on with their happy, normal lives, her pointed chin resting in her hand. She was having a happy moment, for once, but didn’t smile. She turned her oval face, looking behind her. She sighed, straightened her purple windbreaker and, making sure nobody was watching her, silently slipped right off the ledge, unfurled her large, black wings, and took off to school, making note to fly behind the large trees by the street. She went for no good reason, maybe just to make sure her only friends weren’t making great bloody fools of themselves. Mind her British-English.

Wings? Wow, how interesting! I'm even more curious to see where this is all going now.

Rae’s Beginning
Chapter Three
She stared at the small, metal. . . thing in front of her. There was, she knew, something wrong with it inside. But, what? She looked at the odd machine’s blueprint, thinking. She could unhook some of the wires connected to the battery case. Maybe the wires were entangled with some of the gears. But, no, that wouldn’t work, the wires were hooked permanently, and if she cut them off, then the machine’s energy source would be useless. The laser wouldn’t work, it wouldn’t be able to cut, or to move. She rubbed her temples. She wasn’t getting anywhere. A college graduate who had just gotten her Master’s degree, a child prodigy, a total brainiac, and she couldn’t build a simple machine! How lame was that? Then again, she was pretty tired. Up till five. Doing, you know, normal kiddie stuff. Working on on her Seventh-Grade homework. She managed to get back into middle school somehow, back into the grade she should have been in if it were not for her incredible intellect, halfly acting as a classroom helper. Up all night doing easy homework, eating snacks, doing more homework, eating more junk food, watching YouTube when she should have been doing homework. She drew her curtains and looked out the window. Then she noticed the sun’s position and checked her digital, self-made wrist-watch. She gasped, her eyes as wide as dinner plates. She leapt up. She was supposed to have left for school ten minutes ago! She ran to the bathroom mirror and hurriedly brushed her chocolate-brown hair and washed her freckled, rectangular face. Then she grabbed her coat and a paper lunch sack and raced out the door. There’s no time to say hello goodbye I’m late I’m late I’m LATE!

Just a few more beginnings, and then the best part will begin. But you have to know the characters first.

Keith’s Beginning
Chapter Four
Plop. Plop. Plop. He was sitting there, head in his hand, dumping cheerios into the bowl one by one. He had woken up too early, and now he couldn’t go back to sleep. So he decided he had to waste as much time as possible doing stupid, time-wasting things in order for him not to die of boredom watching the kitchen clock go "Tick tick tick". He wondered if any of his friends were in his class. He pondered if his teacher would be a big pain in the neck. He thought about Nathon and Rodrick, Aldria, Rae and Lynn, Sydia and her little sister, Vennessa. Would they all still be best friends, or will heaven suddenly disappear and leave him to fall into hell? Would they even remember their own buddy? Yes, he thought, they would. They had to. They were a group of best friends, a gang of kids since kindergarten! Of course, they had lost Rae in third grade, because she had gotten bumped up to sixth. But she was back again. He shook his head. A stupid thing to do, letting your worries take over. He finished off his cereal, grabbed his jacket and backpack, and walked out the door. Then he came back inside. He looked himself up and down in his bedroom mirror, and, deciding his golden hair was messy, brushed it again. Then he left the house for school.
*This is not the actual Two-Bits, this is a character I based off of Two-Bit from The Outsiders. It has absolutely nothing, NOTH-ING to do with the real Keith.

Sydia’s Beginning
Chapter Five
She jumped down the stairs and ran toward the kitchen. She opened a cabinet, grabbed a box of Fruiti O’s, and ate two handfuls dry. Then she ran back up the stairs and looked in the bathroom mirror. Yup. Same short, beak-like nose, same freckles, same chesnut eyes, same messy red hair. She tied it up into a ponytail. Then she raced back down stairs and into the living room and cleaned up: popcorn was all over the floor, empty pop cans covered the coffee table, a pile of movies was by the TV, her slippers and a blanket on the ground, and a toy makeup set. All the while she was talking to herself bitterly, but very fast:
“No they just can’t help me clean up can they oh no ‘Leave the mess for Sydia it’s her house let’s just ditch the scene’ jeez what slobs forget sleepover parties I ain’t never having another one ever ever ever again that’s what they get for being such repulsive pigs ugh no respect at all I tell ya.”
She picked up the makeup set, shifted her eyes from side to side suspiciously, and opened a closet door. She threw it in and closed the door quickly. She faced the tidy living room and made a rubbing motion with her hands.
“All done now do I have everything I need I better check,” she babbled and raced back up the stairs. She had just zipped up her backpack when she heard a DING-DONG down stairs. She reacted in an exaggerated manner.
“I’m coming I’m coming I’m coming hold your pants don’t forget your shirt too,” she yelled as she practically slid down the stairs. “Wait stop hold it- Hiyo.”
“Hey. Don’t worry, I’ve got my pants, and my shirt, even my underwear,” Aldria said, amused, as Sydia hopped outside.
“Oh jeez thank God I was getting worried there for a second,” Sydia said, wiping imaginary sweat off her forehead.
“Uh-huh, right. Um. You smell like burnt popcorn. Why?” Aldria said.
“What?”
“No, why?”
“Why what?”
“No, just why.”
“What’s why?”
“Ask Rae the definition of why, not me.”
“But what?”
“You can ask her the definition of what, too.”
“Whatever.” Sydia said, giving up. She sniffed herself. “Bleugh. I smell like burnt popcorn.”
“Exactly.”
“. . . What???”
“Never mind. You ready?”
“For anything!” Sydia grinned.
“Uh-huh. No, seriously, are you ready?”
“Uhm. . . Nope,” she said cheerfully, and marched back into her house. She came back out with her backpack. “Now let’s go.”
They started to walk but Sydia turned around and said, “Oops wait I forgot something.” She went back inside. Aldria tapped her foot impatiently until Sydia came back out. “Okay, now let’s beat it.”
“. . . What do you think it’d be like if the gang split up?” Sydia asked a few moments later, looking at Aldria.
“I dunno. I’d probably go nuts with all of the boredom of no friends.”
“Aldria you are nuts,” Sydia said.
Aldria laughed. “Nah, I needs my mallet first,” she replied. She pretended to hold a large, cartoony mallet, readied it, and took a swing at Sydia’s head. Sydia faked unconsciousness, even falling over with her tongue hanging out of her mouth. Sydia pulled herself back up.
“But what about a trip with the gang on the road you know like from the fuzz or somethin’ or like those kids from that movie Spy somethin’ or whatever?” Sydia pondered out loud.
“With fight scenes and spying on the bad guys and planning what to do while risking your neck, and alone with the gang, with no adults to tell you what to do and how to do it? Like the Jynxer sorta did? But with the whole gang? That would be cool.” Aldria said. They stopped in front of a large, red-bricked building with crowds of kids playing on the lawn.

I've decided that this fanfic will suck because it's not as exciting as Maximum Ride. So I'm redoing it, but I'm going to type up all the chapters before I post.
