Anyone else remember this movie? I'm watching it with Giggles as I type this.
This thread may raise Fatal's intrest. The Mask's abilities are very similar to a Toon's. I really don't know how, so I was hoping Fatal, with his more exprience in the Toon's field, would.
Giggles, my anthro rabbit cousin. Harley, my weasel of a big brother. Maria, my little hyena sister. <3 u all!

It's actually a film I remember fondly from my childhood. It's influenced some of my ideas about toons- especially the concept of "über-toon". It sort of added to my impression of classic cartoons, paired with Tex Avery's works.

I've been thinking about a concept for a certain kind of toon... it's probably something you've seen before, but this is a new term for it: über-toon. The basic idea is that on rare occasions, a toon can have complete and utter control over toon physics- being able to pull any number or manner of object of any size out of hammerspace, being able to bend space, matter, and time to their wills, having boundless energy, and generally being totally insane, wacky, zany. It's sort of an exaggerated form of the "screwball" toon.
A few examples:
Judge Doom, or Baron von Rotten (obviously) The Dodo Bird from the Looney Tunes short Porky in Wackyland http://revver.com/video/1133518/porky-pig-in-wackyland-1938/ (I like to think that Wackyland has the greatest abundance of über-toons.) Alvin, of Alvin and the Chipmunks, under the influence of a magic potion in Alvin & The Chipmunks meet Frankenstein http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2aYMK3AmsY (You can see him in his transformed state for about a second in this trailer.) Sammy Ferret in the The Real Ghosbusters episode "Stay Tooned" (This one's obviously not in the WFRR world.) Babs Bunny's disembodied funny side in the Tiny Toons episode "Senserely Yours, Babs"
It's clear that this sort of toon likes to create chaos and mayhem, and can be extremely dangerous if violent. That's probably why they're so rare...
